Description of the Santa Teresa vacation home rental

Casa Serena is actually two separate houses on a two-acre property located in the northern section of Santa Teresa. Both offer great views of the ocean between Lora Amarilla beach and renown Suck Rock Break wave.

Tranquility, seclusion, a luxuriant tropical garden and the merging of sky and sea at sunset are the main features of these houses. Surfing beaches, restaurants, bars and shops are a few hundred meters away, and so are the noise and the dust of the main road.

Everything is walking distance, but if you are not such an avid hiker, a four-wheel-drive vehicle is suggested. Our gravel access road is good but fairly steep.

The newer house, built in 2006, is mostly concrete and wood. It features a very large wooden deck facing the ocean, a large master bedroom with private bathroom opening onto a large balcony, two additional bedrooms sharing the second bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen.

Personal taste, architectural design, ceiling fans and the constant breeze coming up the valley are the reason why the house is not air conditioned. A light blanket is actually needed at night. It is suitable for up to six people.

The older house is a concrete, wood and bamboo building just modified and remodeled. It's basic and simple but refined and architecturally interesting; all the rooms are on different levels connected by porches and stairways. It features two bedrooms, one with a king size bed the other with two twin beds, one deck, dining room, one bathroom, one fully equipped kitchen, and a living room on the very top of the house that could be transformed in an extra bedroom. Ventilation is through design, house is very open, constant breeze and ceiling fans. Comes equipped with a safe, DVD player and CD player.
