Villa Puertazul, just 1 1/4 hours from Santiago, in the quaint hamlet of San Alfonso, is the perfect place for family getaways,a unique setting for "destination" weddings, honeymoons or special events

A perfect all seasons climate, The Cajon del Maipo is a wonderland of adventure, spectacular horseback riding, rafting, fishing, kayaking, trekking, sky viewing, exploring the majestic Andes, hot springs, lakes, volcanoes, or glaciers. Visit world class wineries of the Maipo Valley for
wine tastings, tours and restaurants.

The property consists of two luxurious villas on a two-acre paradise with awe-inspiring snow capped mountain and river views, huge pool and hot tub, gorgeous gardens, fruit orchards, situated right on the rushing River Maipo, with its own private river beach and secluded picnic area. Rates
for Casa #1 Sleeps 6:($2500-2700/wk) or Casa #2 Sleeps 4:($2000-2200/wk) Both Casas Sleep 10 ($4000-4495/wk) Nightly rates also available.

Personalized conciege services available:
Airport pickup, excursions to wineries, markets, car and driver, gourmet rfestaurants, massage and spa services, winetasting parties, BBQ's, housekeeper, shopping and laundry. Unique bistro dinner with our French/Chilean chef.

We are minutes from Lagunillas Ski Center
for those who enjoy beauty, tranquility and quiet atmosphere.
and has a skiable area of 200 hectares with 13 runs. It has 3 ski lifts, ski school, rentals and cafeterias.
Helicopter skiing is also available to Valle Nevado, Portillo or
La Parva. Or for those that want to chill out for a few days
after skiing at Valle Nevado or Portillo, we are the perfect place.

The Cajon del Maipo is a breathtaking river valley surrounded by the snow-capped Andes mountain, dotted with charming villages and the old colonial town of San Jose de Maipo lined with adobe dwellings with thatched roofs. The large shady plaza has a great weekend market and visitor center. Along the road, parallel to the Rio Maipo, there are excellent international restaurants - country French, Italian and a unique Gaudesque whimsical restaurant all carved from wood. We are near Cascadas de las Animas where you can do white water rafting, Banos de Colina - natural hot springs, Monumento El Morado, a spectacular national park with great trekking and horseback riding.

Sept, 2007: I don't know where to begin with your gorgeous home/property Puertazul. First, it was the perfect kind of comfort we needed Toyita made sure everything was ready and everything from cut flowers to setting the fire was perfect. Such a unique and beautiful place so beautifully landscaped and situated right on the river. We actually spent most of our time on the property with a few hikes up the hills or in to town, but the peace and quiet of the property was just what we were looking for for our retreat. I could go on and on. Everything was perfect and in most cases, beyond expectations.

Dec, 2006: Our favorite things were hiking the beautiful mountains, eating delicious food and the lovely people. Don’t miss the lunch at Santa Rita Winery or dinner at Le Petite France. The hot
tub is a pleasure. Home cooked dinners from Nancy and her fresh baked bread in the morning are so wonderful. Such a lovely home, with everything we needed and more!

Jan, 2007: I’m nor sure what refugio means in Chilean Spanish. But Puertazul for us is a Refuge… A retreat into a wecoming luxuriant garden, comfortable home, the now accustomed sound of rushing water, time to read, dine, reflect, doze…
We love the fresh morning air, lazy warm afternoons, evening paseos, flowers, We have used every dish, pot, linen and tool in the kitchen. We baked, barbecued, sauted, and sauced….And then there is smiling, incomparable Toyita, Nancy’s

Jan, 2007: Puertazul! What a great place to stay. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the
pool, hot tub, views, sounds of the river and wonderful gardens.
Nancy is a great cook and very accommodating. Lemon pie – sweet! Quiche de Verduras delivered fresh, hot & early for breakfast. Also, the empanadas were scrumptious as well. We made our way to Banos Colinas and soaked in the salt water hot springs. What a treat, luxuriating whilst taking in the splendor
