Description of the Saranac Lake vacation cabin rental
This casual, family owned cabin is located on Upper Saranac Lake, one of the Adirondack's most beautiful lakes. Enjoy your morning coffee on the enclosed porch overlooking the calm waters or sitting at the water's edge on our private dock. The view is amazing! You can use the dock for your own sail, or motor boat on site, or include a canoe or motorized row boat in the rental agreement.
Enjoy your time away as you relax in this 2 bedroom, fully furnished retreat. The cabin is kept clean and tidy and is decorated in a relaxed family style. It can comfortably sleep 6. Meals are easily to planned and prepared in the fully equipt and furnished kitchen or on one of two outdoor grills (gas or charcoal). The cabin also contains a full bath (with claw foot tub/shower), dining room, and living room which is equipt with cable T.V., has inter-net access and a wood buring stove. Also, part of the Sekon Lodge Association, access to the private, sandy beach, boat launch, picnic area and bonfire pit is also included in the rental.

Cabin is located in the private Sekon Lodge area. Secluded enough that you can feel you've finally "gotten away from it all". Yet is within close driving distance to the many attractions of the Adirondack Park. Some of which include: The Adironack Museum at Blue Mountain Lake, The Wild Center (Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks), Tupper Lake. Paul Smith's College, Saranac Lake Village and Lake Flower. Following along, you can travel into the Winter Olympic area of Lake Placid which includes many opportunities to visit the Olympic venues and try your hand at some of the sporting events.
Santa's Workshop and Whiteface Mountain's Memorial Highway, which takes you to the top for a breathtaking experience, are also within a 45 minute drive.
Along all of these routes you will find many hiking, biking or canoeing areas, local shops selling handcrafted items and works of art and restaurants ranging from an outdoor BBQ to fine dining.
Back at the cabin, the lake hosts many water activities such as fishing, water skiing, swimming and para sailing, just to name a few. There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the fun of water sports, hiking or just simple relaxation.
Island Chapel, another one of the Adirondack's landmarks is visable from the cabin and just a few minutes away by boat.
