Description of the Saranac Lake vacation cabin rental
This casual, family owned cabin is located on Upper Saranac Lake, one of the Adirondack's most beautiful lakes! Enjoy your morning coffee on the enclosed porch overlooking the calm waters or sitting at the water's edge on our private dock. The view is amazing! There is plenty of room to dock your own sail or motor boat on site, or include a canoe or motorized row boat in the rental agreement.
Spend your time away as you relax in this 2 bedroom, fully furnished retreat. The cabin is kept clean and tidy and decorated in an eclectic family style. It can comfortably sleep 6, but there's plenty of room for an addition cot/air mattress or sleeping bag.
Meals are easy to plan and prepare in the fully equipped kitchen or "cook out" on one of the two grills (gas and charcoal). If vacation means never touching a frying pan...there are plenty of great restaurants, diners and coffee shops within minutes of the cabin. The cabin also contains a full bath, dining room, and living room with a wood burning stove. Cable T.V. and Internet access are provided free of charge.
In addition, as part of the Sekon Lodge Association, access to the private, sandy beach, boat launch, picnic area and bonfire pit is also included in the rental.
Come visit us and create some great vacation memories.

Area Info
The cabin is located in the private Sekon Lodge area. Secluded enough that you can feel you've finally "gotten away for it all". Yet within close driving distances to the many attractions of the Adirondack Park. Some of which include: The Adirondack Museum at Blue Mountain Lake, The Wild Center (Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks), in Tupper Lake. Paul Smith's College, Saranac Lake Village and Lake Flower. If you continue along Rt. 3 you can travel into the Winter Olympic Village of Lake Placid. This area also includes some very unique shops, restaurants and opportunities to try your hand at some of the Olympic sporting events (yes, even in the summer)!
Following along this route and less than 45 minutes away for the cabin, you can experience the breathtaking views as you travel up Whiteface Mountain's Memorial Highway. On the way back don't forget to stop to say "hi," to Santa at Santa's Workshop, of course.
Along all of these routes there are many hiking, biking or canoeing areas as well as local shops selling handcrafted items and works of art. You'll never have to search hard to find a place to stop for a bite to eat. Our area is host to many great restaurants from fine dining to an outdoor BBQ with live entertainment.
Back at the cabin, the lake invites you to take part in a variety of water activities such as fishing, water skiing, swimming and para sailing, just to name a few. Our cabin and it's surrounding area offers you plenty of opportunities to take in the local flavor and fun of the area, or just sit back and soak up the peace and relaxation.
