Description of the Sarasota vacation guesthouse rental

Newly remodeled 'Old Florida' Guest Cottage is a charming vacation rental destination located half a block from Sarasota Bay on a one block street, west of the Trail. A well equipped, fully applianced eat-in kitchen, two full bathrooms, a bedroom with a queen bed, and living room, is ideal for a couple, but suitable for 3 persons. All linens, towels, and needed amenities provided. Digital cable TV, broadband Internet, and WiFi(Wireless Internet) available. A screened lanai and landscaped courtyard allow for relaxing in the shade or in the sun around the heated pool. BBQ grill on site for outdoor meal preparation and enjoyment. Separate laundry area includes a washer/dryer. Plenty of parking in the circular drive or carport.

Area Information

Located about 1 mile north of the Ringling Museum and Asolo Theatre, the Old Florida Guest Cottage is conveniently located about half way between downtown Sarasota and Bradenton. Plenty of shopping, beaches, dining, live theater, Major League Baseball Spring Training facilities [Pittsburgh Pirates & Baltimore Orioles], galleries, museums, cinemas, golf courses, botanical gardens, performing arts, opera, symphony performances, antiquing, higher education opportunities, public libraries are all within easy reach from here. If desired, public transportation [MCAT] is within easy walking distance. Fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, windsurfing, sailing, parasailing, horseback riding, nature perserves, and the Myakka River and Oscar Sherer State parks are all within easy access. Tampa is about 1 hour north and Orlando is 2 hours drive from Sarasota.

Old Florida Guest Cottage

I felt really at home in the cottage. It was close to everything and the Sarasota bay was at the end of the street. The pool was fantastic. I took a six mile walk around the neighborhood and it was just beautiful.

Just Like Paradise

We felt right at home in the guest cottage. There was plenty of room for the two of us. It was far better than staying in a hotel. The cottage is light and airy and very comfortable. We absolutely loved the pool area. It was wonderful to get up in the morning walk out the door just a few steps and have the pool right there. We swam every day, usually morning and evening. It was so relaxing to enjoy the warm water while looking at the beautiful tropical landscaping. Thank you for sharing you wonderful home. We will be back.

Enjoyable Place

Nice home for two people. Convenient for almost everything. Some airport noise and it needs a decent chair or new cushions in the living room. Disposal in sink would have been nice; haven't had to paw scraps in a while. But, the place is nice and the pool is right out he door. I would stay again.

Felt Like Home From the Minute I Walked In!

I stayed at this wonderful cottage for three months and always felt at right at home in my little piece of paradise at the cottage by the Bay! The water views are right down the street displaying breathtaking sunsets; it is a peaceful, quiet, safe neighborhood with a spectacular mix of older and newer houses. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening walks, the landscaping, pool and patio areas.... everything I needed was there... and it is close to everything... including Downtown and the beaches. I needed to come back to Sarasota this month and was pleased to be able to stay at the cottage again... I immediately felt comfortable, relaxed and at home once more. Poolside is great for entertaining friends too! The cottage easily accommodates 2/3 comfortably. Anytime I am in town, I will come back again and again to the cottage. Highly recommended for wonderful, accommodating stay and delightful memories in the Sarasota/Bradenton area.

Wonderful cottage- just right for two/three. Plenty of room, enclosed lanai, and heated pool. Just a block form bay. Close to lots of sights and great eating places. Will return again!!!
