Description of the Sarasota vacation home rental

Historic Florida home has been architectually designed to reflect the essence of St. Armands Key's "Old World Charm". Steps away from the world-famous St. Armands Circle with dozens of highly rated restaurants, upscale beach and boutique shopping, ice cream parlors, bistros and cafes, including the famous Columbia Restaurant.

Spacious one-level 2200 sq.ft. home has a new heated pool, fenced backyard beautifully landscaped with tropical plants and palm trees - even the banana trees have bananas! Barbecue or smoke your food outdoors by the pool or create your own gourmet meal in fully-equiped eat-in kitchen. Family/living room has internet (WiFi), entertainment center (FIOS HDTV), DVD, DVR, and movies for your enjoyment. Additional space: Dining room, sun room, and 3 large bedrooms. The back two bedrooms open to the pool area through glass sliding doors and have king- size beds. Front BR has 2 queen-size beds. Three additional TV's in sun room, front and master BR. Washer and dryer in utility closet. Beach chairs and beach towels are here for your short stroll to the soft sands of Lido beach.

Area Information

Shop and dine at St. Armands, visit the Mote Marine Aquarium, Selby Gardens, Parrot Jungle, Ringling Museum of Art and C'ad Zan mansion. Enjoy the Van Wezel Performing Arts Center and the many other theaters and art galleries that make Sarasota famous. Take a deep sea fishing charter from Marina Jacks or enjoy their dinner cruise. Enjoy lovely Lido Beach for quiet beach walks, swimming, sea shells, watersports, bicycling, or just relax on a beach chair under an umbrella. Take a bus or bicycle to downtown Sarasota (2 miles), Moat Marine Aquarium (1 mile), 3 public parks, Lido Key beach, or Longboat Key beaches.

Home away from home

This house is very well located in a prime tourist area, near shops, restaurants and beaches. Sarasota is a wonderful area and this property is a perfect place to explore it from. The house is in first-rate shape, it is well appointed and perfect for 2 couples. The pool is wonderful and the grounds, pool and house are very well taken care of. What was nice is that the owners left spices and things in the kitchen. In many places you have to start with a clean slate. We were really sorry to have to leave and would recommend this property without reservations, even to my fussy brother in law. In closing, the agent, who managed the property, was very user-friendly and great.

Awesome Vacation

The family chose the Sarasota area for vacation this year based on the recommendations from some close friends. I found this beach house online which seemed to good to be true, but proceeded. It would have been a huge mistake for us to have not selected this great house in a very attractive area. Two blocks from the beach, one block from shopping and restaurants, and a great home with a heated pool made it the perfect location. By the end of the week, it felt like home. When we get the opportunity to do this again, we will be calling Jim looking for two weeks and not just one. I would recommend this property to anyone who has high expectations. It has raised the bar. Thanks Jim for making us feel welcome and setting us for a very memorable vacation.

Best vacation ever!

We are two German families who rented this home for a one week vacation. Usually, Germans are very picky. We do too. We expect cleanness and a good service. This house was so clean and offered so much space for 6 peoples. The AC was working great and our children had so much fun with the clean pool. Greg and Jim were so nice and gentle and offered a perfect support in all matters. We enjoyed the house so much. Ok, there is a little issue with the water pressure. But is it a problem? We think it's not. It's the charme of an older well kept home and you can easily deal with it. The St Armands circle invites everyone to shopping and dining with all the shops, restaurants and bars. However, we recommend the Tango restaurant and sushi bar. Good food and fair prices. Under the bottom line we enjoyed everything, the house, the beach and St. Armands. Thank you for the hospitality!
