Description of the Savannah vacation cottage rental

The Carriage House is 1200 square feet of charming luxury. Lovingly restored and remodeled in 2001, this enchanting Cottage retains its original title and sits behind the historic 3 story Manor from which it originated in 1870. The Cottage entrance fronts East Jones Lane. Belgium stone and brick border plants and flowers. Windowboxes adorn the windows with their colorful contents. While the exterior may bring to mind a fairytale cottage, the interior immediately transports you to the quiet luxury of a renaissance villa. Style meets incredible comfort amid Soft leather furnishings, tiled floors, tapestries, oil paintings, and mattresses with linens intended to leave one in blissful slumber. While the Cottage may be rented simultaneously with the Manor (which fronts Taylor Street) for parties as large as 16, rental of the Cottage alone caters to the needs of groups of 1 to 6. Those on business, romantic getaways, families, and couple getaways are ideal as well as groups including Seniors and/or the handicapped. The Cottage features a first floor bedroom, elegant but
discrete grab bars and optional shower bench in a walk in shower on the first floor, and a shallow,wide stairwell that leads to the second floor bedroom suite. Kitchen and Living Room are all on the first floor and a small, camoflauged ramp off the rear courtyard allows for ease of access when desired. The large concrete driveway behind the courtyard of the Taylor Manor lies adjacent to the private courtyard and rear entrance of the Carriage House. Both bedrooms feature Queen-sized Beds. The 2nd floor Master Suite also has a DayBed with Trundlebed as well as a small sitting area and attached bath with jetted tub.

Spanish Moss adorns the oaks lining cobblestone streets and the famous Savannah Squares and famous Forsyth Park. The landmark historic downtown district of Savannah is the largest on the national registry measuring 1 by 2 miles. The Cottage is located in the southeast quadrant and is walking distance to all that the historic district offers. Festivals in Forsyth park, Street Fairs on River Street, Shops on Broughton and with museums, cafes, and shops dotting the streets throughout the district. Conveniently located between Forsythe to the south and the river to the north, you will find yourself close to everything yet able to retreat to the quietness of a residential street away from the revelries of late nighters. Yet you remain only steps from Tour buses and horsedrawn carriages and walking tours. Enjoy Beasely Park across the street with its grassy dog run and jogging track. Stroll down a couple blocks and view outdoor weddings held at the gazebo in beautiful Whitfield Square or go a bit further to picnic in Forsyth. Spend a morning or afternoon on River Street and then head back into the squares to explore the sites and sounds of Savannah's premier downtown destinations!
