Each floor has one bedroom (queen bed), one bath (jacuzzi tub), dining room, full sized stainless kitchen, and living room (sleeper sofa). A child's crib and rollaway are also available. The bedrooms and living rooms have working (original) fireplaces.
Our home (2 units) was built in 1870 and has been completely upgraded with all the amenities, but still has the charm of a quiet street in the Historic District of Savannah, Georgia.
We are within walking distance to everything - public transportation is right at the door - as is parking. The street is quiet, residential and lined with gorgeous live oaks and Spanish moss.

My girlfrieds and I stayed in the bottom unit a couple of weeks ago for a long weekend and could not have had a better trip! The house is close to everything, we walked everywhere we went, and it was the perfect size. For 4 girls how definitely know how to overpack there was plenty of room for us and all of our stuff! Never having to worry about parking was another plus. When we make another trip to Savannah we will definitely be contacting Shelia again! Thanks again for letting us stay in your home!

This is our second time staying here while in Savannah-----I would recommend it to anyone. Very comfortable and close to the center of town. The owner is an awesome lady and I was glad we were able to meet her in person this time around!

My wife and I stayed at this house for 3 nights and it's wonderful! The pictures really don't do the place justice as it's a good deal larger than it looks. Also it's really close to pretty much anything in downtown Savannah. We walked EVERYWHERE that weekend and it couldn't have been any better. Thanks Sheila for your wonderful McDonough House!

Michele - You couldnt be more welcome! The benefit of this great job is meeting superb people such as you and your friends and making your stay enjoyable! Please come again.

Review Text: "My adult daughter and I stayed in the lower level apartment at this property for four nights in March 2008. It's in a great location on the east side of the city & within walking distance to all the tourist sites in downtown Savannah. It was clean & comfortable. The owner promptly responded to inquiries and was courteous and helpful. We highly recommend it. "
