The beach is unique among southern Maine's sandy beaches; it is over a mile long and is free of development. Save one house in over a mile, there are no homes situated directly on the beach dunes. The beach and area are outstanding for swimming, walking, surfing, and boating. There are spectacular views of Stratton Island, Shooting Rocks, and Black Point.

The layout of the home is 3 BRs and 2BAs. There is a dining room, living room, family room, large study/game room, and large sun room and open deck overlooking the ocean.

The home is 20 minutes from Portland Jetport and Portland, and less than 2 hours from Boston. Activities in the area include the Old Port Area of Portland, which is known for its crafts, art and antique shops and good restaurants. Excellent public golf courses and tennis courts are nearby. For Winslow Homer aficionados, Homer's studio is a 15-minute bike ride away at Black Point. The Portland Museum of Art has an excellent Homer exhibit as well as other well-known Maine artists. The twin lighthouses at Two Lights State Park, sought by artists and visitors, and a national bird sanctuary are biking distance.
