The home is 20 minutes from Portland Jetport and Portland, and less than 2 hours from Boston. Activities in the area include the Old Port Area of Portland, which is known for its crafts, art and antique shops and good restaurants. Excellent public golf courses and tennis courts are nearby. For Winslow Homer aficionados, Homer's studio is a 15-minute bike ride away at Black Point. The Portland Museum of Art has an excellent Homer exhibit as well as other well-known Maine artists. The twin lighthouses at Two Lights State Park, sought by artists and visitors, and a national bird sanctuary are biking distance.

We had a terrific time and the space was wonderful for our combined families (two married children and granddaughter plus my husband and myself). The property is right on the beach, and the Pine Point section is not crowded, so we had the beach largely to ourselves if we wanted. The house is well equipped (but could use a CD player and/or radio -- bring one if you like music). We used our laptops which worked okay, but we needed speakers to get audible sound. Otherwise, lovely location and beautiful home.
Great short-term executive stay for our work in Maine. The beach was great! Barry W.
I loved the beach and the area. I am coming back next year! MB
