Settled on the shores of Frenchman's Bay is this contemporary cottage with 1 bedroom plus a den/study. Open, bright and airy living space with panoramic views across Frenchman's Bay to Cadillac Mountain. Comfortably furnished with nice sleep sofa in the living room and a large brick wood burning fireplace as well. Large windows and sliders along the front for a light filled space and leading out to the deck, a stone's throw from the shore. Home has a small but fully equipped, galley kitchen complete with dishwasher and all the accessories needed. The sunsets are spectacular and the morning coffee on deck as you watch the lobsterboats come by to haul their days catch...priceless. Excellent for honeymoon or anniversary! Nicely landscaped and very well maintained home perfect for that coastal getaway...come make some Maine memories!

Area Description

The Schoodic Peninsula is a quiet yet ever increasing in its popularity. Set across the bay from Bar Harbor, the Schoodic Point section of Acadia Nat'l. Park is located minutes from the cottage and is a beautiful piece of shoreline to explore. Bold, rocky granite outcroppings, crashing surf as well as hiking trails on Schoodic Head offer much to do. This is in the center of the several working fishing villages that make up the Peninsula and offer some great area restaurants, antiques, Maine crafts and several galleries to browse as well. Stop by the 5&10 in Winter Harbor for all those things you may have forgot or for souvenirs...one of the last 5&10'S left! Easy commute to Bar Harbor or take the ferry (passenger/bikes) out of Winter Harbor and enjou a great cruise among the islands and avoid the traffic. Great location for several good day trips or just kick back and relax and enjoy the property...catch up on a book or be inspired to write one! Excellent locale for biking, photography, kayaking, painting, etc...Happy planning!

Required Stay: Saturday to Saturday
Lodging Tax: 7%
Deposits: A 50% deposit is due with return of signed contract with the remainder due 30 days prior to your arrival. A $250 refundable security is due with final payment.
Other Fees: Cleaning is included.

Intimate and secluded setting where time stands still...Many opportunities to observe nature and quiet the mind. Property is located 4/10 mile from a paved road, in the woods, with the rocky coast of Maine in the back yard. Many intelligent design elements in the cottage make this a great stay.

Drove 20 hours and what a pleasant surprise, the home was so comfortable, cozy and clean, had every necessary untensil, pots pans board games, movies washer dryer. The beds were very comfortable, The location is in a great little area that is very quiet yet just a about 100 yards up the road you can be on the rocky shore line. Very cozy place if you wanna get away spend time with the family,but still have a great Maine experience. The appliances and even the bedding in this property are all top of the line and even though there is no cell phone service the house had unlimited long distance if you needed to call (Domestic only. Great stay really got to relax spend quality time with wife and daughter. Great people in this community all very nice love to answer questions about the area.
