Description of the Sea Ranch vacation chalet rental

Have you dreamed of a romantic getaway, where the soft whisper of the ocean lulls you to sleep, and the gentle call of birds wakes you in the morning'

Set on two private acres, "Cliff Cove Chalet" overlooks one of the most breathtaking views on the Sonoma coast, and offers a beautiful and serene getaway with Internet WIFI when needed.

Less than two hours north of the Golden Gate bridge, this newly remodeled home perched on an ocean bluff, is located between Jenner and Sea Ranch on the spectacular Sonoma coast. "Cliff Cove Chalet" offers 4+ bedrooms, hot tub, three fireplaces (two in bedrooms, one in the greatroom with big flat screen TV above the mantel), wifi internet access, spacious kitchen, and an array of lovely amenities*. Surrounded by expansive decks, you can host a barbeque for friends or family outdoors, or walk along the promontory-deck and quietly enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset. If romance is really in your bones, you may share a dance in the garden gazebo, or even reaffirm your vows.

Upstairs is a greatroom with floor to ceiling (16 foot high) windows, with spectacular views of Ocean Cove and the Pacific. Also upstairs is a well equipped kitchen, a large outdoor deck with professional gas grill, and a bedroom/ laundry room for overflow with a twin trundle/day bed that can convert to a king. The greatroom is enhanced by a large hearth fireplace. There is a combo TV/VCR/DVD as well.

Downstairs there are three bedrooms, two with queen beds and fireplaces. Both of the queen rooms have fabulous ocean views through their French doors, that open to large decks and a hot tub. One other bedroom, also downstairs, has a double bed, and its own sink. There is a large laundry room big enough for a blow-up-bed for the kids in a pinch.

Walk down the lower deck walk that extends far down and out to a small promontory that feels like it's suspended over the ocean. On a lucky day you'll see seals and pelicans playing in the cove below you. Take a walk around the private two acre lot and have a glass of wine in the gazebo, or throw some horseshoes in the pit. Sit around the fire circle and relax.

Just a mile or so up the road enjoy the trails and beaches of Salt Point State Park, or drive the three miles to have dinner at the lovely Timber Cove Inn (or walk down the road for the more informal Salt Point Lodge). While you're in the neighborhood, take the kids the few miles down the road to explore historic Fort Ross. Enjoy!

*Other amenities include: outdoor gas grill; bedroom bar; large game room/laundry room; open-spaced living room/ dining room/ kitchen area; television/ VCR/ DVD; CD player; well-appointed kitchen.

Perfect family retreat, August 19, 2008
By Sandy MIlls (New Zealand and Florida)
We had 6 adults and one child at the house. It was the perfect home for a 'together' family vacation. Everyone had their own space and the family room was large enough to have everyone together easily. The gourmet kitchen was a delight. The views from the home are spectacular. This area is brilliant for a quiet and enjoyable 'time out' from the hussle and bustle of daily life. We would absolutely come back to this area and can highly recommend the home as a great vacation rental. We were also very impressed with the service we received from the vacation rental agency managing the home.  more...

Cliff Cove Chalet, April 14, 2008
By Bryan (Santa Clara, CA USA)
For our 10th Wedding Anniversary, my wife and I decided to return to the area we were married (Sea Ranch). Having stayed at many Sea Ranch vacation homes over the years, we wanted to do something a little different and found this beautiful home overlooking a cove. Though we were a little apprehensive staying at a home outside the Sea Ranch property, those feelings quickly disappeared upon walking into the home. It is very spacious and has a spectacular view of the cove and the ocean beyond. To compare to Sea Ranch homes, we were quite happy to find that the kitchen was better stocked, there were towels and linen supplied as well as paper products. We found particular joy in the BBQ grill and the fire pit. Also, when not looking at the stars and moon in the evening...it was nice to have DirectTV on a nice flat panel and 802.11b Internet access good enough to check email and some websurfing. We enjoyed Stubbs Beach which was only a few miles up the road. Overall a very memorable time.  more...

"Wee bit open", February 22, 2008
By Andrew W. Grant (Sea Ranch, CA USA)
The past week-end experience was one of pure beauty as I reconnected with the ocean and all it's splendor. The house was perfect other than the fact that there was not window covering in the day bed room. That's where I slept. It did me good to be able to get away to a place of absolute calm and am looking forward to doing it again, soon. Thanks, Andrew W. Grant  more...

 Pretty & Fun, February 21, 2008
By B. Schell (Santa Rosa, CA)
Great home - private bedrooms, hot tub, walks on the beach. We loved the fact that we felt so comfortable and not 'sterile' (i.e. some rentals you feel like an intruder). There were TVs in each room and a nice flat screen with a sweet sound system. Kitchen was awesome with lots of seating for everyone. Private even though the path along the coast is very close. We saw seals, whales, deer, etc.  more...

 Breath Taking, February 20, 2008
By Mary Rufus (Menlo Park, CA)
The property was everything that was in the description. The view of the ocean was just breath taking. We arrived early Saturday afternoon, we had a group of 9 people 4 couples and a single. One of those couples were my mother and father which to top bedroom worked out great for them. I can't tell you the look on our faces onces we pull into the driveway. Everyone of us ran out to get a Ocean view and listen as we watched to ocean slam up against the cliff. The home was just beautiful, just breath taking. We have stay at several Sea Ranch homes and I can say that this was the most beautiful ones yet. I know we will be retuning in the summer so we can try out that Hot Tub. To sum it up PRICE LESS  more...
