Before we booked this condo, we inquired about the cleaning policy and were told that the property will be inspected, then cleaned, then inspected again between each tenant stay. However, I do not believe this actually happened. The overall condition of the condo was so dirty that we had to go buy our own cleaning supplies and spend the first 3 hours of our vacation at the beach cleaning up. There were crumbs on the floor in the kitchen and living area, there was food smeared on the glass kitchen table, the bathtubs and sinks had greasy rings, and the vacuum cleaner was too full to be useful. Also, this was supposed to be a no-pet condo but we found dog food and water bowls in a closet and dog hair in a bathtub. Several of the kitchen drawers were broken and the patio door did not lock. The worst though was the black mold in the master bedroom closet ceiling from a long-term roof leak. It began raining our first night and there was a steady drip, drip, drip into the closet all night. We put a bucket under the leak but had to empty it every hour. We called the rental agency when they opened the next morning and they granted our request to move to a different property.
