Description of the Seagrove Beach vacation home rental

Be one of the first to stay in our newly renovated family's beach retreat with awesome views. The house does not back up to noisy 30A but is tucked into a quiet neighborhood south of 30-A. If you know where Eastern Lake Nursery is (formerly the Gourd Garden) that's the north end of our street. There is enough parking four cars.

The home's split plan allows you to love 'em and leave 'em, family or friends, when you have had enough togetherness. The kitchen is a generous size and has two dishwashers for large gatherings. The den provides ample living space, but the gulf view beckons you outside on the huge covered lanai, to daydream and relax. The third floor has a sunning deck with an even more breathtaking view.

The main floors sleep eight. There are two kings, one queen bed and one queen sofa sleeper. The house is equipped with a stereo and a TV. There are also 3 flat panel televisions with cable in the house. Both the main deck and lower lanai floor have their own washers and dryers.

The lower lanai/pool deck is accessed by way of a spiral staircase. The lanai/pool floor has a den with comfy seating, three bedrooms, two full baths, (2 king size beds and one room with 2 queen sized beds). The kitchenette has a fridge with an ice maker, microwave, sink and a coffeemaker. There is a stainless gas grill on the lanai. The lanai/pool floor also has three flat panel televisions with cable.

Both the upstairs and downstairs double doors open to the large private heated swimming pool 15' x 30'. A pristine private pool just for you.

Just beside the house is a shady trail through the scrub oaks, right to the beach. The house is a short walk away from Eastern Lake, a rare coastal dune lake, where fresh water mixes with gulf water. The lake is a fascinating place for children. Young ones can spend days watching tiny fish and baby crabs in calm ankle deep water next to the surf. Seaside is just up the road on the bike trail. This is a great retreat for families to gather, play and unwind.

Seagrove Beach is a quaint, seaside community with numerous interesting "Beach Community" experiences to discover. The beach is amazing, after all, that 's why you made the trip! Spot the dolphins, toss bread to the seagulls, collect sand dollars, play in the surf, these are just a few things to do. One of our family 's favorite things to do is to explore Eastern Lake, a rare coastal dune lake that meets the ocean jnearby. The lake is a wonderland for small children, crabs, tiny fish and calm water. Moms and Dads will find this spot fascinating as well.
You can bike, rollerblade or walk on the paved sidewalks that run along Highway 30-A to Seaside and Watercolor. Seaside is just two miles away. Kayaks, bikes (we have a few for your use sometimes in working order) umbrellas and smart cars are available for rent in the area. There are free concerts in Seaside on Saturday nights (check the schedule). Seaside also has a Repertory theater which holds plays, movies and improv comedy. In the summer Rosemary Beach hosts a sidewalk artist event called 'West Indies Market , check the schedule.
There are great restaurants in close proximity sprinkled along Highway 30A. Up the street, Goatfeathers Seafood Market provides our favorite fast-food take-out, a few pounds of steamed seasoned shrimp, to-go. Within a short walk is an espresso/internet cafe with gourmet bites, beverages & ice cream. Yianni 's is a Greek Restaurant which is close enough to walk to for a reasonably priced and delicious, family dinner.
There are several shopping destinations to explore: Seaside, Grayton Corners,The Shoppes at Rosemary, Silver Sands a Designer Outlet Mall about 25 minutes away, Destin Commons Village Mall with a large theater, the Village of Baytown Wharf in Sandestin, Pier Park on Hwy. 98, in Panama City Beach, a new shopping development with an additional multi-screen movie theate, Target, Panera Bread, Dillards and other shops in the process of opening.
If it is a waterpark you enjoy, there are two to choose from, Big Kahuna 's in Destin or Shipwreck Island in Panama City Beach. You can also satisfy your old salt 's desire for boating and/or fishing at Destin Harbor, or St. Andrews Bay in Panama City Beach. Diving, snorkeling, jet skiing, parasailing, miniature golfing, bungee jumping, windsurfing, swamp airboating... it 's all here waiting for you.

Around 7pm, every evening, the sky begins to take on the colors of ice cream sherbet. These pink light moments are magical. This is the time to take pictures of your family on the beach. Mother Nature 's lighting provides the best studio conditions and they are yours for the taking!
