Description of the Seattle vacation condo rental

A truly unique place; literally on the private beach with sweeping western view of Puget Sound, Olympic Mountains, several islands, and if you're lucky, the occasional pod of orca whales. Feel the serenity of a quiet Puget Sound getaway as soon as you enter - hard to believe that downtown Seattle is only 10 minutes away!

The building is only 3 units, this is the one directly on the beach. Sleeps up to 6 with 2 baths. Dining and living room area wrapped in windows looking directly out over the beach. Fire-pit, gas BBQ, kayak, and row boat ready for use. The low tide exposes lots of great areas for exploring, but it never comes up high enough to reach the deck, so you can ALWAYS access and enjoy the beach.

Just 4 houses down from the lighthouse. It is in lee of Alki Point and sheltered from the marine winds, so it is always calmer and warmer than around the point. Only 3 minute walk from fun community boardwalk, shops, and restaurants on the other side of the point. Big deck to enjoy as you watch the sunsets, boats, or linger over a leisurely meal.

Area Information

On the private south side of Alki point. Only a couple blocks away from the restaurants, cafes, and shops along the boardwalk on the other side of the point. Larger grocery stores 2 miles away. Public bus transportation to downtown Seattle on Alki Beach boardwalk. The property is next to the picturesque Alki Point lighthouse. Wonderful beach with firepit and great logs for furniture. The beach is really just out your front door. Truly an amazing property.

Other Vacation Rental Amenities

Just around the Alki point lighthouse is the 3 mile, sandy Alki Beach, with views of Seattle and many restaurants/coffee shops on the beach. Drive 10 minutes to Seattle waterfront or take a 7 min. water taxi ride to Seattle. Funky West Seattle "junction" neighborhood up the hill, 3 min drive. Queen size aerobed available to sleep extra kids/guests.

West Seattle Respite

This was a perfect place for the time away that we needed with our daughter who lives in Kent area. She needed some relief from work and it was a soothing place to be. We loved the deck, watching the tide go in and out and all the ship traffic. Much different than our Midwest life. We enjoyed being able to walk and dine and meet friends in the area. We appreciate the opportunity to rent such a great place. It was cheery and comfortable.

For our family summer vacation, we were looking to escape the Texas heat, have a great view with beach access, along with convenient access to downtown Seattle and the Olympic Penninsula. We found it all here. The views of Puget Sound were stunning and the kids spent a great deal of time on the beach in front of this first floor condo looking for shells, watching the seals, and digging in the sand. Because it is just south of the iighthouse, it was a very quiet place. The condo was easy to live in and very comfortable. WiFi allowed us to work in the evenings while we enjoyed the sound of the waves. An easy walk to the Alki strip afforded nice family dinners and several days on the sandy beach. A shuttle to the Water Taxi took us across the bay to downtown Seattle for visits to Pike Place Market, the Aquarium, and even a baseball game at SafeCo field. An easy drive to Mt. St. Helens and even the Olympic Penninsula gave us the opportunity to see more of the surrounding area. I recommend visiting the lavender farms in Sequim. The owner has the place nicely decorated and set up with creature comforts - great blankets, warm comforters, nice towels, cable TV, etc. I would highly recommend this place for anyone that wants to experience all that Seattle has to offer, especially the amazing views of Puget Sound.

My family needed a place to house 6 adults for my nephews wedding on Bainbridge Island as well as enjoy a vacation. We are so happy we found this place. It is a beautiful location with plenty of entertainment provided by the actvities on Puget Sound. With the deck and living space we had room for other family members in town to gather for a visit as well. With easy access to Seattle we saw many of the sites there, and were able to meet up with family in town. Grandma negotiated the two sets of 5 steps to get down to the deck entrance with ease. The owner was easy to work with and had the place well stocked and furnished. I wish we had taken more time to just sit and to enjoy all Alki had to offer. Maybe next time.

What a wonderful piece of property and it is everything you read. Clean.cute, great location, and a nice owner. Saw the fireworks which we do all over the United States every year and this vacation is on the top ranking. The view and sound of the waves right outside your door were priceless. The kids loved playing on the beach and watching the seal pups play. Then, after a long day of sightseeing, it was refreshing to walk down the waterfront to a quaint dinner on Alki Ave.

Just a fun walk down the shore to restaurants on Alki beach and also a short drive to hip West Alki with lots of cute shops and restaurants. This condo was a haven for our family of 4. It is right on the beach, as advertised, and thus provided entertainment for the kids and relaxation for the adults. It is an easy drive to Seattle from the condo, but it was tempting to never leave the neighborhood. It was clean and well stocked and the owner even left us a snack to eat. We will never stay anywhere else in the Seattle area!
