Description of the Seattle vacation condo rental

The building is small with only 3 units, ours is the top unit with the most spectacular views. If you want to spend the day beachcombing for treasures on the beach, it's right in front. Sleeps 1-4 with 2 baths. One of the most unique aspects of our property is that it is directly on the beach where the tide rarely comes all the way in so you can usually enjoy the beach. Within minutes of arriving, you feel calm and serene as you listen to the waves and gulls & watch for seals and other wildlife. Orcas have even been seen in the sound. We're just 4 houses down from the Alki lighthouse. It is in lee (shelter) of Alki Point. During the summer it's calm and warm, with a hint of marine air across the water to cool things down. The large private deck will add to your enjoyment as you watch the sunsets, while viewing the islands across the way, or the boat or kayaking traffic.

Area Information

Condo on Alki Beach of Puget Sound with incredible views of several islands, Mt. Ranier, the Alki Lighthouse (4 doors down) & the Olympic Mountain range. Beautiful beachfront condo. Throughout the year watch gulls, seals, eagles & other aquatic sealife (on occasion Orca!) as well as ferries and other fantastic boat traffic just out the front door.

West Seattle is an incredible location and community. With outdoor activities such as beachcombing for treasures, kayaking, biking, jogging, walking, roller blading, swimming...etc. only a short stroll away from the condo. City life in downtown Seattle is only 15 minutes away by ferry, car or bus where you can enjoy great shopping, theatre, restaurants, museums, Pike Place Market, the Seattle Waterfront and Aquarium, the Space Needle, EMP and Chihuly Glass Exhibit, the Zoo and much more!!! Public transportation is readibly available

Right on Alki beach with fantastic restaraunts, coffee shops (yes, Starbucks among others), a great art gallery , a convenience store...just down the beach a couple of blocks...a short walk. This is truly a 'walkers' paradise. The 'best' Seattle grocery store just 2 miles away. There is public bus transportation to Seattle a few blocks from the condo on the Alki Beach boardwalk. Our property is next to the picturesque Alki Point lighthouse. You have the ability to be as private as you want, or as involved in the Seattle beach seen as you like! Our location is enough off of the beaten path that you can feel you are in your own private hideaway, though just steps away is the fun action of Alki Beach. Alki Beach is the only natural sandy beach in Seattle & was the first point where settlers arrived, so there is some wonderful history. Wonderful beach with firepit and great logs for furniture! The beach is really just out your front door! Truly an amazing property. You will not be disappointed! This is a one of a kind place.
20 minutes from SeaTac Airport, 10 minutes to downtown Seattle... Great access to downtown for those Husky football games!

A:Our place is a sanctuary. It's a beautiful place and you truly feel like you're on a yacht...the water is right out the front door. It's close enough to the activity of Alki, but still down far enough that it's quiet and relaxing.
