Description of the Seattle vacation home rental

This spacious, new 4000+ sq ft craftsman style home is located on the lush and beautiful Bainbridge Island. It has a panoramic view of Seattle, Cascade Mountains, and the shipping lanes on Puget Sound. Only minutes from the Bainbridge/Seattle ferry which takes 30 minutes to reach Seattle. The Island of Bainbridge is rich with Arts, hiking, bicycling, wineries, and many other attractions. The small village of Winslow is a destination attraction in itself (only 5 minutes drive from the house). The house is within walking distance of the beach and several trails through the woods. A heated pool is available for your use - only three minutes walking distance. This island is the setting used in the book "Snow Falling On Cedars" - beautiful year round.
The house has a private "guest studio" over the garage where you will find a small lanai and barbeque, cable television, a large view window, microwave, small refrigerator, couch, queen bed. This area comes with the rental, but has a separate entrance. Main level of the house has a deck across the front, a master bedroom with master bath, a second small bedroom with a single bed, a spacious living room, dining area and library/study, and a small guest bathroom. Laundry facilities are located on this level as well. The lower level is an apartment unto itself with a full kitchen, a bedroom with queen bed, a full bathroom and a spacious livingroom and dining area. The view from this level is just a spectacular as the view above. We know you will love our home as much as we do.

Area Description

Many people work in Seattle and live on Bainbridge Island. They prefer the quiet atmosphere, but want to be close to the bustle and hub of life in Western Washington (Seattle) only 30 minutes away. We are approximately 2 hours from the ocean beaches, short ferry rides to other areas and very near to Canada (about 2 and 1/2 hours). The Olympic Mountains are within an hour where vast wilderness areas are available for skiing, hiking, camping, etc. The famous Hood Canal bridge connects the Kitsap Peninsula with the coastal areas - Sequim, Pt. Townsend, Pt Angeles, Clallam Bay, Neah Bay, etc.
It is impossible to see everything in the area in one visit Most visitors want to return again and again.

We live a short walking distance of Puget Sound, slightly away from the village, but only by about 4 miles. Lovely bicycling, hiking, beach walking. Yet, only minutes from all that Seattle has to offer.
