Description of the Seattle vacation home rental
Our Northwest contemporary home nestled into a lush green landscaped sloping property feels like you have rented a country retreat, though you are 10 minutes from downtown Seattle. Walk down outdoor stairs and into the second floor living area, where the soaring ceilings of the living and dining rooms enliven your spirits. Curl up on the leather couch or love seat with a good book from the well-stocked shelves or watch DVD from Island Video, nearly next door on the 45" flat screen TV. The kitchen is well-equipped for preparing the fresh seafood you bought at the Pike Place Market. Or fire up the gas barbecue just outside the French doors. Eat on the deck after appetizers and conversation in the shady vine-covered arbor down the stairs on a beautiful summer Seattle evening. After dinner, cross East Madison Street to stroll the Washington Park Arboretum. The third floor features master suite, with soaking tub, and separate library/office. On the first floor, the second bedroom is really a second master suite, with its walk-in closet and full bath. There is also a common room with a pulldown Murphy bed. You can't beat this tranquil, relaxed setting!
Located just off Madison Street,(the only Lake Washington-Elliott Bay arterial in the city,) our house is virtually across the street from the Washington Park Arboretum and Japanese Garden, and within a block of a coffee shop, day spa, gym, video store and sushi restaurant. A half mile walk down hill takes you to Madison Park, the Lake Washington-front area with its shops, restaurants, beach and park. Walk the other direction and within a half mile you've reached Madison Valley's thriving shopping district, including yoga and Pilates studios. The vibrant Capitol Hill district is just up the hill, and the University of Washington is less than two miles away through the arboretum. You pass Seattle University on the way to downtown. The waterfront ferries to Bremerton and Bainbridge Island, Pioneer Square and Pike Place Market are less than three miles away, as is King Street Statio (Amtrak Train), and Safeco Field. We also have the closet Seattle connection to the eastside communities (Redmond, Kirkland and Bellevue), Microsoft, and the Cascade Mountains for hiking and other outdoor activities. Metro Transit bus stop to downtown is less than 1/2 block away.

Reviews for this vacation home rental in Seattle, Washington
Everything Perfect!!, August 5, 2009
FANTASTIC Home away from home, September 14, 2008
Our Private Tree House, August 28, 2008 We greatly enjoyed our stay - if I was to stay/live in Seattle then Madison would be preferred location.
Best Points
1) Location - best of all worlds - easy to get to downtown, Arboretum on the doorstep and short walk to lakeside beach, easy travel to Bellevue/Redmond busines parks
2) Sitting on the deck with its view through the trees - as you state it is truly an urban retreat.
3) Felt like a home - very well equipped, - great wooden floors
