Description of the Seattle vacation home rental
Summer (beginning May 1): 4 bedrooms and one full bath, sleeps up to eight guests.
Two bedrooms on the main floor: one with a queen and one with two twin beds. One upstairs bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and twin-sized daybed, the other has one twin.
You couldn't ask for a more convenient location! Our home is nestled in a quiet neighborhood at the north end of beautiful West Seattle. Walk 1/2-block up the street for a spectacular panoramic view of the moon over Elliot Bay, the Space Needle, and the downtown skyline.
Our location offers quick access to Safeco Field for Mariner's baseball!
This 1920's home is a classic gem. From the white picket fence out front to the soaring coved ceilings, many small details lend to its charm. With a spacious living room with a cozy fireplace, large dining room, and a kitchen with breakfast nook, it's the perfect home-away-from-home for your entire family. A portable crib is available upon request. Towels and linens are provided, as well as basic kitchen gear, coffee, and tea, wireless high-speed internet, cable tv, and a washer/dryer.
You may also enjoy spending time in the nicely gardened backyard or on the old-fashioned front porch. Enjoy a relaxing getaway and spend quality time together at the end of your full days of sightseeing.
Area Information
Within a few blocks of our house you will find a nice variety of restauants and cafe/diners such as Luna Park Cafe, one of the best breakfast diners in Seattle. The Skylark features pub fare and live music on the weekends as does The Bridge, all within walking distance from our house. And you are a short drive to Alki Beach where you'll find a myriad of fine and casual dining choices.
This is the perfect jumping-off point for fantastic sightseeing, museums, the Pike Place Market, the Seattle Center (which houses the Pacific Science Center, Experience Music Project and Space Needle) Aquarium, Zoo, fine restaurants, ferries, and all of the hiking, skiing, and outdoor adventure that our surrounding mountains have to offer.

close to beautiful Alki beach

We enjoyed our stay at this lovingly kept older home. We were happy to use the free shuttle and the water taxi from Alki Beach to downtown. Shopping was close and a great breakfast diner, 'the Chelan' is in walking distance. The only thing for me to get used to is the train wistle during the night. Thank you for a pleasant stay in Seattle.

Pleasantly Surprised

The homeowners were really good to work with. We booked this house as well as one of their other rental properties (The Full Moon Cottage) because we had a large group that came into town from all over to celebrate a friend's wedding. The homeowners helped us nail down all of the details and worked with our schedules to help us figure out the most cost effective route for renting both places. All of the people that stayed at the house said they were really happy we did it and were really happy with the space that it provided everyone compared to getting rooms at a hotel. We loved the location of this house as the neighborhood was really easy to get in/out of. We ended up taking the water taxi from Alki Beach to downtown a couple days while we were there and that worked out great. It would be a bit of a walk to get to the water taxi. We had cars available to us so we drove to the water taxi and parked our car (free parking along the curbsides close to the water taxi area). We loved the access to the freeways as we did a lot of driving while we were in town and the local restaurants close by were really good too! I think you are definitely taking a risk when you book something off the internet based upon pictures, but the homeowners customer service was outstanding and I would completely recommend their homes because they are true to their word and advertisements!

Moonlight Guest House Review

The Moonlight Guest House is a well appointed, comfortable home in a residential neighborhood with ample street parking. The layout of the house with 2 bedrooms on the main floor to either side of the bath allows for privacy. The kitchen with eat-in table alcove, dining room and living room provides good traffic flow. Additional thoughtful touches include a household information binder, sight seeing info, and basic starter supplies in the kitchen and bath. The programmed heating cycle provided a comfortable indoor climate for this time of year. And perhaps the best part: location! The house is conveniently located to public transit, downtown Seattle, and commercial areas in West Seattle, yet is in a quiet and friendly neighborhood. It's a great place to stay!!!

Clean, Convenient, with Character

This funky West Seattle bungalow fit our needs perfectly! We were three Moms and four teenaged daughters, up for a weekend in Seattle. The house is easy to get to from I-5, it's clean and very comfortable for a group. Plenty of sleeping options, with several beds, a fold out couch and a long leather sofa. It has easy access to The Seattle Center and Downtown (5 min. on Hwy. 99), a GREAT Thai restaurant within walking distance, and in just a few minutes drive you can be on Alki Beach and enjoy the walking path, fantastic views of the city, several choices for good coffee, and restaurants from fine dining at Salty's to a bakery, pizza, or fish & chips. The funky, old decor of this house gives it character, but the house has obviously been taken care of, and it was quaint and comfortable. The only thing that might make a difference for a group is, there is only one full bathroom, however, they have installed a funky stand-up shower in the basement, and for times sake, we used it! We'd definitely stay there again.

Like Being At Home

My friend and I, in our sixties, were visiting Seattle to see family and the sights. The house is comfortable and homey. The neighborhood is quiet. And we particularly wanted to be in West Seattle, so it was perfect. The Rosses were wonderful to deal with, responding promptly, furnishing all the necessary information, friendly and business-like at the same time.

Great place, great bargain

My family was in Washington for a wedding and afterwards we needed a base in Seattle to visit friends and tour the downtown. This house had the room we needed and the rate was a great deal compared other similarly-sized rentals. It is near a major artery that connects West Seattle to the rest of the city, so getting out and about is simple. Additionally, it is located closer to the airport than most other possibilities, making our getaway that much simpler. The house was spotless and there was plenty of room to spread out and to unpack. The weather was not cooperative (cold and rainy) so my kids didn't get to explore the garden in the back, but it certainly looks like a place they'd've loved to play in on a sunny day. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, and I had a pleasant chat with one of the next door neighbors. Street parking right in front of the house was always available. The furnishings are nice and practical, and the kitchen has everything one'd want. The decor throughout the house is kind of mixed and matched from various time periods, but that was a minor issue for us. Laura and Joe were friendly, very prompt with their communications, and the deposit check was also quickly returned. If you are looking for a solid, affordable place of this size, I'd definitely check it out.

Perfect for us...

This place was perfect for the 5 of us. We are a family of gals who need privacy 'cause on occasion we have a guy around - and this place had a perfect layout for all of us to have that privacy. The home contained all that we needed and more and the location was really very good and very convenient to everything we wanted to do (Mariners game, downtown activities, etc)...We appreciate the accuracy of the website information and the ease of which to access the home. The owner's communcation was perfect and other than Seattle having so much to offer - meaning we were not "home" much so we did not get to explore the neighbourhood - we look forward to returning and doing just that, especially part of the Alki beach area which is very close. Just Rite

A casual,comfortable home in a quiet and safe neighborhood for my 4 teenagers, my husband and myself to relax, work on our lap tops, watch cable TV, eat from the frig, or take a 6 minute walk to a Starbucs. Easy access to the bus line where my children took it to the University District to meet up with us at the Univ of Washington. Served our needs with a working washer and dryer,and even a basement cloths line. Plenty of room and beds. Mr. and Mrs. Ross responded quickly and informatively to our e-mails. Just what we needed!

We needed a space for family members to be together to support an adult son having cancer surgery at Swedish. The house was great - we had separate spaces if we wanted and great gathering places. Our grandsons could squeal and laugh and go for walks and that was wonderful! And Joe and Laura were like extended family in their willingness to make a stressful time as comfortable as possible. A Perfect Place!

We rented this home for our family that were coming in from out of town for our wedding. The location and size were perfect for our needs and the price was unbeatable! There was plenty of room for everyone to have their space and the back yard offered a beautiful area to sit and visit. Laura and Joe were wonderful, accomodating, easy to contact and work with,we couldn't have asked for a nicer couple. If you are looking for a nice, quiet, centrally located home away from home, this is the place. The neighbors are nice, the area is beautiful and everything is so close by. I would highly recommend this home, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Laura and Joe, it was definitely a pleasure!
