Description of the Sebastian vacation cottage rental
Our cottage was built in the 1940's as a fisherman's retreat. We have recently renovated and modernized it--but with care to retain its period charm: hard pine floors, tin roof. One bedroom with view of the sunrise over the water. Another small room, for office or guest. Cozy living room and a simple, but complete, kitchen, which opens onto the deck. A wide, shady porch faces the Indian River Lagoon,the tropical garden and dock. Under the house, a laundry area and a basement, suitable for stowing boat and sporting equiptment. It is a perfect place for one or two people who appreciate Florida at its natural, peaceful best. For more photos and information please click on "direct link" below.
Area Information
The cottage is located directly on the Intracoastal Waterway/Indian River Lagoon near the entrance to the Sebastian River, as it passes by the village of Micco--A very casual, "barefoot" place. Marinas, market, library and a riverside cafe. Sebastian, with its malls, hospital and services is a mile away. Ocean beaches (Wabasso), golf, tennis, skydiving, scuba and charter boats are nearby. Vero Beach and Melbourne (15-17 miles) can provide even more interesting activities.
