Description of the Sechelt vacation home rental
Welcome to the TIMBER LOFT vacation home, which is built on a mountainside in beautiful serene Tuwanek, 15 minutes from the quaint town of Sechelt, and across the street from the ocean, a leisurely minutes walk to the beach.
The house, nestled high among tall cedars, firs, bamboos and many wild ferns, with ivy, lavender and hydrangea sprinkled between, making it a nature-lover's delight. This is truly a park-like setting situated on over 1/2 acre of land.
At the lower property, surrounded in lush wild greenery, you approach a custom designed bridge, crossing over Irvin Creek. A picturesque setting for small private wedding ceremonies and of course, ample pictures for the perfect wedding memories or your romantic dream honeymoon!
A pampering and tranquil experience in your own privacy, where you escape the daily hustle and bustle of everyday life.
This is nature at it's best, yet only 15 minutes from ammenities, shopping and restaurants.
With an urban luxury designed interior, 18' post & beam high loft ceiling, hardwood floors, banks of skylights, letting the sunrays shine through the entire day.
Let yourselves sink down on the reclining leather loveseat together, catch up on some sleep, light a fire, listen to a CD from our collection, finish that long overdue book or watch your favorite movie on the 32" LCD flat screen.
Your day may begin on one of the gazebo-style covered decks, with a delicious, complimentary cup of coffee on the outside eating deck or while sitting in the therapy hot tub on the opposite covered deck.
Amenities include luxury linens, lush egyptian towels, plush bathrobes and slippers to pamper yourself in the large soaker tub or spend some time in the rainshower
or steam bath while your favourite music plays softly in the background.
Activities are endless in the area.
Go for a hike on one of many nearby trails, down to the beach to soak up some sun, take a kayak tour or a scuba lesson, explore the mountain biking trails, or go on a fishing excursion.
At The Timber Loft, we have created a truly private sanctuary, where time stands still and brings you to another world!! Come experience the vacation you've imagined for so long... You won't be disappointed!
The Sunshine Coast has mild winters (seldom with snow) and warm dry summers. There are 270 growing days per year (up to 90°F/ 30°C), with the growth of sub-tropicals (eucalyptus, fig, kiwi and palm,) observed in some coastal pockets.
The Sunshine Coast receives an average of 4-6 hours of sunlight per day, making "grey days" much less than the
rest of the province, hence it's appropriate name.
The backdrop of the Coast Mountains, ocean coast and "Inland Sea" (Sechelt Inlet) contribute to the scenic nature of the Sunshine Coast. There are numerous parks including the newly established Caren Range Provincial Park, home to a 'cloud forest' containing some of the oldest yellow cedar and western hemlock in Western Canada. Wildlife abounds in the region including deer, eagles, elk, mountain goats, osprey, otters, sea lions and seals.

Tuwanek, approximately 12 km (7 miles) from Sechelt, situated on the eastern side of Sechelt Inlet at the foot of Mount Richardson. The name is derived from Tuwanek, one of the 4 divisions (septs) of the Sechelt Nation. The Sechelt Indian salmon hatchery and a world-renowned scuba diving site (Tuwanek Point) are also nearby. Tuwanek is in close proximity to Mount Richardson, Porpoise Bay, Sechelt Inlets Marine and Tetrahedron Provincial Parks. The Tuwanek area has been home to many summer cottages since the early 60's and today many of the folks who came here as children are bringing their kids to experience all the area has to offer. Some have even chosen to make Tuwanek their home and many people now live here on year round basis.
