Area Information
Tubing, kayaking and gold medal fishing in the Platte river (10 minutes north), or fishing 10 minutes south at Manitou Lake.
Championship Mountain Golfing 15 minutes South of the cabin on Hwy. 67.
Woodland Park is only 20 minutes South with dinosaur resource center & museum, as well as family owned shops and restaurants.
Santa's workshop amusement park, Cave of the Winds, Pikes Peak and Cog Railway (all 25 minutes),on Ute Pass.
For the shoppers, there is Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City with it's multitude of unique shops and local artists. Too much to mention...
Boating, water-skiing etc, at pueblo resevoir- (1 hour and 15 minutes).
Breckenridge ski & snowboarding resort (1 hour,45 minutes.
Cripple creek casinos and molly kathryn mine (1 hour, 15 minutes).
Colorado Springs - Air Force Academy, Cheyenne mtn zoo, Garden of the Gods, museums and other attractions, in Colorado Springs (45 minutes)

I have stayed here numerous times - for good reasons! There is a happy, healing energy that cannot be denied. There is something for everyone: quiet and calm, or activities, if you prefer! I have gone alone or with dogs and all were pleased! The scenery is fabulous. You can be alone or be with others and have as good a time. It's remote but you can get to a town not too far away (if you even want to). Lots of wildlife, beauty, and nice neighbors. Beautiful home with lots of amenities - the hot tub is great! I've known people who chose to live in this area and commute to Denver daily just b/c it's so beautiful! So awesome to just sit outside and listen to the creek and the animals. I will stay here many more times in the future and invite others to do the same : )

Amazing Colorado Retreat

Loved this cabin! Stayed here for the Thanksgiving weekend and couldn't have asked for more! All the comforts of home...from the bedrooms to the bathroom, kitchen, and living space...and don't forget the hottub! The area is great for walking/hiking around and a close drive to town. I need to go back for more relaxation!

Super fun girls extended weekend for a birthday getaway! Most of us live in Denver so it was such an easy drive to leave the big city and land in such a beautiful, peaceful and natural setting there. We were excited the minute we arrived and saw the beautiful cabin we would enjoy for the next several days. We were so comfortable and relaxed just sitting on the big deck, taking in all the natural beauty and walking around the lake in the mornings and evenings. First night we made a big dinner and then enjoyed a nice bonfire before going to bed. Woodland Park is nice and close and the next morning a few of us had a wonderful massage with Garen in town. Then we all met up and hit some of the local shops that were so amazing and fun to go through, we especially enjoyed Tweeds and the old junk shops. There is also a local movie theater and plenty of specialty restaurants in Woodland Park that I was not expecting. The cabin was so clean and cozy and user friendly...everything we needed was right there. The furniture and beds were super comfy, and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. We can't wait to make it back this year at least once, hopefully when the weather is warmer. Thanks to Deb and Jim for making it so easy and stress-free to set everything up. Their personal touch was much appreciated. We highly recommend this beautiful location to anyone, near or far, for an amazing getaway.

This cabin is perfect! It's wooded around the cabin for approx about 200deg, and the remaining 160deg is open to beautiful view of the hills, horse ranch and the bridge! The decor, decks and access to the decks have been planned very well. No one aspect stands out, but all put together makes it an amazing property with good privacy. A larger family can utilize all the space including the game room. The indoor hot tub can be used at any time which certainly is an advantage. The mural in the master is beautiful! We took a couple of strolls to and by the lake which was very pleasant. The Bruners were very kind and went overboard to make sure we had a great anniversary weekend at this property. Chilled wine and glasses welcomed us. They were also very flexible with the check in and checkout times which made our stay all the more wonderful. We hope to come back to and spend some more quality time here. This is a great place for a family (includes the 4-legged kind!)
