Description of the Seine vacation home rental

All professionally decorated. The entrance to the property is through a 26-foot wrought iron gate that works with remote control and opens onto an enchanting huge courtyard romantically lit with four, large period lanterns. It has century-old trees and a profusion of colourful flowers. The main house entrance is in the back of the courtyard on the right of the "L" shaped farmhouse. The huge open kitchen/dining room overlooks the garden at one end, and features a massive stone fireplace at the other. The kitchen is equipped with: sub-zero refrigerator with ice-maker, dishwasher, new plasma flat-screen 73 in. TV screen, CD sound system, and DVD video system. The magnificent summer living room "granier" and bar has a 45-foot beam ceiling and spectacular original stone wall. This room is an ideal gathering place from May through Oct.(not heated in the winter months) Luxury bedrooms with four poster beds and comfy American matresses overlooks the quiet countryside. Totally decorated with french antiques and accessories. Large lush back yard with pool. Can sleep from 2 to 14 guests with different price ranges.

Only a 45 minute drive or train ride to Paris, the house is situated in a "story book french countryside" untouched in 100 years. It is in the heart of the Barbizon and Impressionist area. In all directions there are interesting villages and sites to see. Barbizon, 5 minutes, home of Impressionist and Barbizon schools of art. Fontainbleau, 15 minutes, with Louis XIV Hunting Lodge. Milly la Foret with a 15 outdoor market place. Only 20 minutes, Veaux le Viconte, the magnificent palace Versaille was patterned after. Ideal for biking, hiking, tennis, horse back riding, with two 18-hole golf courses in a 10 minute radius. There are farmers markets in every direction and gourmet restaurants in all the picture perfect villages.
