Owl's Nest is a 3 bedroom(sleeps 8)1 bdrm-queen bed with satellite tv,1 bdrm-queen bed, 1 bdrm-4 twins with Video Game System, DVDs, games,etc.,cabin.

Two full baths with towels provided and beach towels for use with hottub.
Kitchen is stocked with everything you need-ready to go-just bring your food and beverage.

Owl's Nest can accommodate up to 8 people - so pack your clothes and bring your food! Getaway now.

Satellite Internet wifi is now available in this cabin! :)

*Horse Lovers - Tie-stalls (4) are now available, so bring your horse and do some riding in the mountains of WV.

Area Information

Smoke Hole Canyon/South Branch of the Potomac River is the perfect fishing spot (prime trout smallmouth bass fishing) and we are only about a short 20 minute drive away. Do you have spouses or friends that don't want to fish but want to come along? They will be very comfortable in our cabin-relaxing, reading, cooking, hiking, shopping or watching a movie

Our up-scale vacation home is located in the private community of Mountain Lake Retreat, in Rough Run, between Petersburg and Franklin, West Virginia. Situated in the Potomac Highlands of West Virginia, within a 3 1/2 hour drive from most major mid-Atlantic cities

Abounding in wildlife and spectacular views, the area's peace and tranquility create a vacationer's dream for adults and families alike who just want to relax.

For those on the go, the selection of nearby activities is endless...hiking, biking, hunting, golfing, climbing, rafting, tubing, canoeing and much more. You can even swim and fish in one of our stocked private fresh water ponds.

Onsite hiking paths, 2 ponds for fishing and an outdoor firepit for roasting marshmallows and making s'mores! Warm up inside with our gas fireplace-ahhh.
Hammock for relaxing and taking a long awaited nap. Horseshoes-good old fashion fun that never goes out of style and many family fun games inside (PS2 with games for the ones that can't live without it).
Great family cabin tht sleeps up to 8. Perfect for 2 couples and 4 children. Dogs always welcome! We wouldn't leave home without ours, so you shouldn't either :)

Beautiful!

We spent a long weekend here and it was beautiful! The views are great and the cabin is wonderful. The cabin has all of the amenities you could want or need, no matter how long you are staying. The beds and other furniture were very comfortable. We loved the fireplace and hot tub. The location is convenient to Smoke Hole Caverns and Seneca Rocks. They were very helpful with a couple things that we had questions about before our stay, very quick response times also. We will be visiting again and hope it will be in the fall when the leaves are changing. I have recommended this property to everyone that has asked how our trip was!

Beautiful cabin, beautiful location

We couldn't be happier. We went up with another couple and had 3 kids and two dogs. There was plenty of room. lots to do, very clean, exceptional views! Our kids had a blast and after the kids went to bed we snuck out to enjoy the jacuzzi under the stars! Great getaway!

Great Cabin

This cabin looks brand new and had everything we needed. It was decorated nicely and very comfortable. The property had lots of space for hiking and walking our dog. Our dog could swim and then dry off on the gated deck-great idea. Would definitely go back again, hopefully in the Spring.

What a great place!

The pictures on the website don't do it justice! The cabin was clean and nicely furnished. It was obvious from the manicured grounds and tiny details (such as the light switches and cabinet shelves/drawers labeled) that the owners have taken special care to make the experience exceptional and relaxing for the renters. The HotTub and outside grill worked great with just the flick of a switch and the Horseshoes and fire pit provided for a good time during the evening. The back porch is huge and there are many rocking chairs/benches to relax on and enjoy the weather. The family room was nice with cable TV and many DVDs and PS2 games to play on the flat panel or books to read if you desire. The 3 bedrooms were roomy enough with one having a queen and the others having 2 twins each. Seems like it would be a great place for a large family (3+ kids) or any family that may need wheelchair accessibility. Probably not the place for you if there are several couples wanting to stay as you would all fight over the Master Suite. With all that said, I would definitely go back if I get the chance!

You will absolutely LOVE Owl's Nest... this cabin can sleep up to 8 people comfortably in beds! Plenty of amenities such as, hot tub, gas fireplace, linens & towels provided, etc. There is a special little viewing spot, we like to call "Lover's Leap"...sit there with your sweetheart and take in the beautiful view and forget about all your troubles (for a few days anyway). You'll love this cabin in the moutains!
