Kitchen is stocked with everything you need-ready to go-just bring your food and beverage.
Owl's Nest can accommodate up to 8 people - so pack your clothes and bring your food! Getaway now.
Satellite Internet wifi is now available in this cabin! :)
*Horse Lovers - Tie-stalls (4) are now available, so bring your horse and do some riding in the mountains of WV.
Our up-scale vacation home is located in the private community of Mountain Lake Retreat, in Rough Run, between Petersburg and Franklin, West Virginia. Situated in the Potomac Highlands of West Virginia, within a 3 1/2 hour drive from most major mid-Atlantic cities

Hammock for relaxing and taking a long awaited nap. Horseshoes-good old fashion fun that never goes out of style and many family fun games inside (PS2 with games for the ones that can't live without it).
Great family cabin tht sleeps up to 8. Perfect for 2 couples and 4 children. Dogs always welcome! We wouldn't leave home without ours, so you shouldn't either :)

We couldn't be happier. We went up with another couple and had 3 kids and two dogs. There was plenty of room. lots to do, very clean, exceptional views! Our kids had a blast and after the kids went to bed we snuck out to enjoy the jacuzzi under the stars! Great getaway!

This cabin looks brand new and had everything we needed. It was decorated nicely and very comfortable. The property had lots of space for hiking and walking our dog. Our dog could swim and then dry off on the gated deck-great idea. Would definitely go back again, hopefully in the Spring.

The pictures on the website don't do it justice! The cabin was clean and nicely furnished. It was obvious from the manicured grounds and tiny details (such as the light switches and cabinet shelves/drawers labeled) that the owners have taken special care to make the experience exceptional and relaxing for the renters. The HotTub and outside grill worked great with just the flick of a switch and the Horseshoes and fire pit provided for a good time during the evening. The back porch is huge and there are many rocking chairs/benches to relax on and enjoy the weather. The family room was nice with cable TV and many DVDs and PS2 games to play on the flat panel or books to read if you desire. The 3 bedrooms were roomy enough with one having a queen and the others having 2 twins each. Seems like it would be a great place for a large family (3+ kids) or any family that may need wheelchair accessibility. Probably not the place for you if there are several couples wanting to stay as you would all fight over the Master Suite. With all that said, I would definitely go back if I get the chance!
You will absolutely LOVE Owl's Nest... this cabin can sleep up to 8 people comfortably in beds! Plenty of amenities such as, hot tub, gas fireplace, linens & towels provided, etc. There is a special little viewing spot, we like to call "Lover's Leap"...sit there with your sweetheart and take in the beautiful view and forget about all your troubles (for a few days anyway). You'll love this cabin in the moutains!
