Description of the Sequim vacation cottage rental

We are confident you will enjoy the beauty and uniqueness of our full scale reproduction of an 1800s wooden caboose. The caboose is beautifully decorated with your comfort in mind and sleeps up to three between the quilted queen size bed and the cupola bunk bed, ideal for a youth or young adult. The sitting area and kitchenette are complete with quality table place settings, coffee maker with complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate, small refrigerator, microwave and bar sink. The bathroom features a shower and is complete with towels and blow dryer.

Outside accomodations features a patio area with a gas grill that overlooks a stocked trout pond (catch & release). While you're walking the paths and enjoying the sunshine, stop by and visit our friendly minature donkeys.

Area Information

Sequim is a community located in the sun between the deep waters of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and the breathtaking Olympic Mountains of Washington state. The weather is a major reason people visit Sequim. The sun shines here more than anywhere else in western Washington. The "rain shadow", caused by the Olympic Mountains, protects the valley from the rain that falls east and west of Sequim.

Sequim is the center of the North Olympic Peninsula, just minutes from Victorian Seaport of Port Townsend and Port Angeles, the gateway to Victoria, British Columbia and Olympic National Park. Located adjacent to Olympic National Forest. Sequim is conveniently situated to be your vacation destination.

Enjoy the museums and galleries, golfing, farms and gardens, kayaking, birding, elk watching, biking, numerous wineries, local parks and the Olympic National Park and Forest.

A Wonderful Adventure

September 3, 2009

I booked the caboose for my husband and boys, ages 5 & 7, for a boys weekend before school started. Scott and Cindy treated them like family. They had so much fun. The accomodations were perfect for a little boys adventure. The dogs, horses and donkeys made the adventure even more exciting. My husband assured me that they would be going for a full week next summer because they could not fit in everything in 3 days. Sequim has so much to see for kids as well. Thank you Scott and Cindy. The boys will be back!

We are sooo relaxed now. The caboose is so delightful. We could see from the website how nice it is inside but the pictures don't do it justice outside. The setting is beautiful. My daughter (10 yrs)loved the dogs, ducks, donkeys and horses.
