Description of the Sequim vacation home rental

Relax and enjoy your Olympic Peninsula vacation at Blue Bay Retreat, a spectacular recreation property situated on three acres of pristine Sequim Bay waterfront. A comfortable, all equipped three bedroom home with beautiful gardens and sprawling grounds welcomes you. Wake early to a panoramic sunrise over Sequim Bay. End a full day at water's edge viewing the sunset with Mt. Baker and the San Juan Islands in the distance. A private dock with tide flats and the nearby John Wayne Marina add to your recreation possibilities. Explore the Olympic National Park, Dungeness Spit and fields of summer lavendar. Whether it's the endless, arctic light of summer or the blustery seascapes of winter, you will always remember your time at this very special home on the northern tip of the Olympic Peninsula.

Main House and one bedroom guest house are rented separately so contact owner for availabilities. Guest house nightly rate is $150. This property is large enough to make the combined rental a perfect setting for your family vacation or group getaway.

There is a cleaning charge of $100 for the main house and $60 for the guesthouse. Extra cleaning charges for pets.

Area Information

The possibilities for recreating are endless on the North Olympic Peninsula. Whether it's Sequim's famous lavender festival in July or just the enjoyment of fishing, crabbing, birding, boating and kayaking right from our home dock, you'll fall in love with unspoiled nature that awaits you. The immediate area offers fields of lavendar during summer, the Olympic Game Farm and National Park attractions. The Straits of Juan de Fuca and the Dungeness Spit and New Dungeness Lighthouse are right around the corner. Nearby are the Olympic Mountains and Hurricane Ridge, the Hoh Rain Forests, natural hot spring spas and the Pacific Ocean. A short ferry ride from Port Angeles takes you to Vancouver Island and Victoria.

Great vacation

November 2, 2012

8, of us adults had a great time. we caught all the crab we could eat. The house is very nice, the owner is a wonderful kind person. we will be staying there every year, as long as the crabbing is oper. The front yard is a great spot to set and look out over the water and watch the boats come and go. i had my 22 ft Grady White boat full of pots tied to the dock, we also rented the cabin it is also very nice. We had good weather most of the time, a little rain at night, My only sugestion would be a fire pit of some sort out by the waters edge, but i love a camp fire. The only concern we had was air in the water lines, it sometimes blew water hard int a cup or pot from the sink, But Kathleen (the owner ) said she would try to fix it.It was most likley caused from the very dry season and low water table,We also met the neighbors, Great people, who ended up knowing friends of ours here in Montana. All in All we had a wonderful time in a Great place, and i would recomend this place to anyone.

Well Worth The Stay

Enjoyed this home (Thank You!) for the three days we were there. (Four adults and one 8yo Grandson (and their pooch).) Comfortable, clean, everything worked as expected, nice yard with beautiful gardens, and quite surroundings - and with a water-front backyard! Pictures on-line really do not really give this property due credit. I'd recommend this vacation property! It is nicely located near some of the the northern Olympic National Park entrances, and the other close by points of ("blue hole") interests. Weather cooperated quite nicely this time of year (clear, cool (~72 F high).

Beautiful Property

Excellent location in the "Blue Hole" of Sequim. We had excellent weather despite other places had rain all around us. The property is conveniently located near the shopping areas (5-7 min drive) for supplies. It is very close to the Olympic Discovery Trail (we will bring our bikes next time.) Beautiful property with an older home with well kept lawn and garden. Dock on site would be a bonus if you had a boat. Mike was great to deal with Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

I can't imagine a more ideal location for our family than on this peaceful bay, but just minutes from town. Both the house and gardens are spacious, comfortable, and inviting.

Waking up and looking out at the bay was amazing! The house is in such a great location. It's easy to get into the National Park and to all sorts of other fabulous areas! The house is clean and spacious and the kitchen has everything you'd need to cook. I highly recommend this property!
