Description of the Severance vacation home rental
The CJ House
Private Home on 125 ft. of waterfront. Located just 2 feet from the water!
A custom modern home built to the owners personal specifications, private parking for three cars (max), and one boat trailer space. Gentle sloping stairs to main entrance of this awesome Adirondack home. You are breathless as you step inside this jewel on Paradox Lake.
Four floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors open onto your patio with hummingbird feeders and beautiful Adirondack plants. You will marvel at the hand-carved cherry game table in the living area. Two futons and two swivel chairs for your satellite, DVD, TV, and VCR and CD listening pleasure. As you look around the hand-tooled cedar walls, you may notice our collection of Adirondack crafts. We have a cordless phone and a bedroom phone (free local calls).
Our kitchen contains frost free refrigerator, hand made granite counter tops, a lighted fan over the family table for those warm summer nights, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and all utilities for your Adirondack country breakfast, lunch or home cooked dinner. Off the kitchen by the service door is a ½ bath for adults or your youngsters prior to meals or after a swim in the lake. The second floor has three bedrooms as you walk up the stairs past our young bear trophy –you will find two single beds in the first room great for children. The middle bedroom contains a double bed followed by a full bath with skylight and then the master bedroom with a bedside phone and ceiling fan and tray ceiling. All of our homes are supplied with first class well water. Guest should supply linens, paper products, soaps and food.
There is also a telescope for stargazing at night also located in the bedroom. You have finally arrived at this Adirondack Paradise Home. (Many times large families will rent all three homes or just Kristen and C.J. You decide which home or homes you would like to rent.)
Local Activities and Attractions
Paradox Lake in the Adirondacks has much to offer to make a memorable vacation for you and your family!
Mountain Biking: Mountain ski slopes are open for biking and many trails are available.
Amusement Parks: North pole, Magic Forest, and Great Escape are minutes away.
Events: 4th of July parade, Adirondack Folk Festival,
Thursday sea plane rides every Thursday, annual arts and crafts and weekly square dances.
Horse Racing: Available at Saratoga Race Track. Open late July through Labor day. Enjoy breakfast at the track or enjoy the whole day with the family picnic lunch.
Dinner Theatre: The Lake George dinner theater from mid June to mid October.
Concerts and Movies: Seagle Music Colony, Strand Theater and Aviation Mall Theater in Glens Falls and the Saratoga Performing Arts Center are all nearby
Boating/Fishing: Bring your own boat for fishing salmon, trout, pike, pickle, and bass.
Golf: Schroon Lake Municipal Golf Course with a 9 hole course and Ticonderoga Country Club open to the public with a 18 hole course.
Internet Access nearby: The Schroon Lake Village Library offers free WIFI and 3 internet PCs for anyone to use. They are open Mon-Sat, closed Sun. Also, in Schroon Lake Village, the Higher Grounds Coffee shop offers free WIFI with a purchase. Grab a cup of Jamaican Me Crazy (our favorite) and use one of their PCs for 15 cents/min.

What a week,What a Home, What a vacation Jamie and Ben caught so many fish that we thought they were jumping into our boat. The Kids never complained about boredom!!!!!
Schroon lake has some very nice shops and so close.We had dinner out evey night in Town.This was an Unforgettable vacation.

We sent a most relaxful week, watching the fish hawk swoop down from what appeared to be in the heavens above and scoop up her food as the fish jumped in the lake.The neighbors across the lake kayaking around sunset and being so friendly as they sailed by. That T.V. and VCR gave us a Movie or two a few nights..And the service at Drakes resturant and the meals were prepared to perfection.
The Adirondack Museum was really worth the trip... we had to drag our Lab out of the water..only kidding...swimming,hanging out on the hammock just laying around reading or puting together those jigsaw puzzles. walking on the road, hiking and our daily walk to town and back were especially enjoyable

We all said WOW....when we arrived at the home. Living on the 29th floor at our apt. in Manhattan we were glad to see the Lake so Close..My husband said it was as we could just reach out and touch the lake .Fantastic views and the well water was the best we ever tasted. The Pamphlets were very helpful for the area.The extra amenities were terrific.

The Home was "SPOTLESS" when we arrived.We had hoped it would pass your inspection.
