Black Bear Crossing is a perfect place for that family vacation or a romantic get-a-way. You will not be able to beat the incredible mountain view of the Great Smoky Mountains and the city lights of Pigeon Forge. We looked at a lot of cabins, but when we found this one, that was it. Grab a cup of coffee in the morning, sit outside on the bench and watch the sunrise or in the private hot tub with a glass of wine facing these majestic mountains. The vaulted great room features a wood burning stone masonry fireplace, new furniture and a satellite TV with DVD. There is a full sized fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toasters, waffle iron and hand mixer, also plenty of pots, pans and dishes for you to prepare a home-cooked meal. The cabin is also equipped with a pool table and many assorted games and toys. The enclosed bedroom offers you a queen size bed and the loft a king size with pillow top mattress.

We were lucky enough to get the cabin for our first family vacation to Tennessee. We have a 9 month old and a 3 year old. We were close enough to the action of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville and far enough removed to enjoy the beauty of nature and the magnificent view of the Great Smokey Mountains. There are so many fun things to do with the kids in town but we could also come home to relax in the hot tub and make a home cooked meal. The house was stocked with great cookware and the best was the waffle iron! The kids really loved making waffles in the morning! We enjoyed a few of the easier hikes, especially the Laurel Falls Trail and we drove Cades Cove where we were lucky enough to spot some bears, deer and wild turkey. The aquarium is a MUST if you have children. Well worth the cost. Just amazing. We had a few minor issues and Gabi was so easy to get in touch with and quickly resolved any questions and problems we had. I would certainly stay here again. She was so hospitable and I wish I could hug her! The only things we wish we could have had was a gas grill and a washer and dryer.

Amazing Cabin with a Great View

My family and I drove from New Jersey to visit Pigeon Forge, we had never been here before. The cabin was clean, the beds were comfortable and the owner was very nice. The drive up Bluff Mountain to the cabin was adventureous. I would recommend this cabin to rent as I would have no issues staying here again. Thank You to the owners for a much needed very relaxing vaction. The Pridmore's from New Jersey :)

Loved the cabin and everything in it, we have told all our friends about this cabin and that they would love to stay there. (did warn that if they go in winter and weather is bad that they have to have the right car for this cabin) We do plan on coming back to this cabin in the future.

We were the lucky family that got the cabin rented for Thankgiving. Had a great time as usual in the area. Cabin will be a redo for us. The family loved it and the view was, well, A VIEW. We sat out on the porch every morning waiting for the sun rise. I will highly recommend this little cabin to anyone looking for a cozy true log cabin for a stay. Just know that the road to the cabin isn't for the weak at heart to do the driving up and down the hills. Brakes, have good brakes! Oh, forgot to mention the turkeys. Had 11 the morning after Thanksgiving gathered around the porch just before sun up. Next night they were on the porch!

We just returned to Louisiana from Pigeon Forge, where we stayed in this cabin. This area was new to us, so we weren't sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. Nice cabin, with a terrific view. We would recommend it.

I was only getting to spend a few days in Pigeon Forge so I didn't want to spend a fortune nor did I want to stay in a dump, guess you could say I wanted to have my cake and eat it too. I got just that with this wonderful cabin, it was clean, comfortable, well equipped kitchen and a hot tub on a huge porch with the most amazing view. I believe the cabin was the best part of my trip. The owner is a real gem to deal with and if I get the chance to go back again this is definately where I want to stay. You can be in the midst of all of the towns's excitement in about 10 minutes too.

A simply beautiful place to stay. The sunrises were breathtaking, the view was amazing. The cabin itself was tastefully decorated and very friendly. It was unseasonabIy warm but the hottub was the prefect place to cool off. I actually enjoyed the road up. This is a REAL cabin in the mountains. Please don't stay here, so there will be more days available for me to return time and again.
