The vaulted great room features a wood burning stone masonry fireplace, new furniture and a satellite TV with DVD. Cozy cabin at the top! Straight up :0
December 6, 2014
GPS said take left at stop sign and it is the first left...... you see Black Bear Crossing and then a sign 'Angels Nest' .....wow. Oh my it did not say 'straight up' like the up on a roller coaster. The views are so grand, clouds rolling in, sunrise, sunrise on a rainy morning, all most awe inspiring. Greeted by wild turkeys. Great little cabin. Most cozy and beautiful views!!! Unimaginable at the top. We looked forward to our Smokey Mountain escape, and just the drive up the mountain was a true adventure, but the cabin is as comfortable as gently worn jeans. like Goldie Locks says ' just right' . Not to big and not to small, warm and cozy. Nice wrap-around porch, views are most appreciated because of wall of windows floor to ceiling. With Christmas 20 days away the cabin has a pretty 6ft lighted & decorated tree with the cabin being decorated with holiday decor. Put some logs in the fireplace and make some hot chocolate and enjoy the fire and view. If you are looking for a private top of a mountain adventure, then Black Bear Crossing is where you want to go. Fun adventure and will always hold dear a true memory made Blessings to all who dare to enjoy!

We stayed at Black Bear Crossing from October 31st, 2014-November 4th, 2014 and it was amazing, about an hour after we arrived Friday night it started snowing and snowed through mid morning Saturday, the scenery off the deck was amazing. The sunrise over the mountains off the deck were astounding, I would recommend this cabin to anyone and I will definitely stay here again. The road up to the cabin was scary Friday night because it is so steep but after coming down it on Sunday it was a piece of cake the rest of my stay. There is nothing I could say to prepare u for the road up to the cabin except don't let it keep you from staying.

What a wonderful place to call home if only for 5 days. Beautiful, comfortable cabin, and caring owners. The first trip up that hill was a bit nerve racking... but after that it was easy. Close to everything yet private, just a great place to relax in the hot tub and enjoy the view. Sunrise from the porch swing was our favorite way to start our day. One day of rain, in an otherwise perfect week. Looking forward to returning another year.

We stayed at this cabin in early September, 2014. For two senior citizens, this was a great venue. It does help to have a 4-wheel drive car to get here, but well worth it. Cabin was clean, kitchen was well equipped, tv needed some education to work, but reception was good, need to bring your own DVD's, etc. We probably had a nightly visit from the local racoon guys who loved the tree berries near the hot tub, which was great to be in. We'd love to come back again for a cozy stay. gb&lb from SC.

We rented the cabin for a week. The view is awsome. The only downfall was it is listed as a dog friendly but there is no yard for the dogs to go to restroom in. There is however a walking trail right near the cabin which is where I took my dogs to. The walking trail leads to waterfall. Everything was neat and clean. It has a nice grill for grilling and a swing to just sit and enjoy the view. The hills to get there are very steap so be careful. Nice size hot tub. No washer and dryer so bring extra towels if staying a week or you have to do laundry. They provided 8. Lots of dishes, nice decor, loved it all. Will stay again.

The view for one thing its spectacular, now finding the cabin does take some work & its ride up the mountain is steep. When traveling there make sure you have 4 wheel drive very important. I drove my tundra up the mountain & did petty good for the steepness. The cabin itself is spacious, good for a family of six or couple. The cabin provides everything for you except food, transpiration, and firewood (we had to get our own wood). Inside the cabin was pretty clean except we got there an hour early & the maid had not cleaned so we had to leave for two hours. I think they should of did a better job in that Dept. It was great being in the hot tub gorgeous view view while you relax but the hot tub should of been cleaner. To sum up the whole experience is worth the drive up there, you are so close to pigeon forge & the surrounding cities. Its beautiful, serene, breathtaking & peaceful. The owner Gabby is so sweet she'll work with you. ;)
Great Cabin and great deal!

My husband and I just stayed in this cabin in the beginning of December. We got a great price and the owners were so great to work with. We actually had to switch our dates around due to work conflicts and they were very understanding and flexible. As for the actual cabin we were very impressed! The drive up to the cabin scared me some but we have a Nissan sentra and we made it! It was very steep. But the view was incredible and the cabin was clean and up to date. So worth the money for the view!

It is a great cabin with a great view. Very comfortable! Felt like we were at home.
October 22, 2013
The drive was steep but it's worth the view. Gabi gave great directions, we were able to avoid the gravel road. The drive into town was about 20 minutes. The rates were very reasonable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Black Bear Crossing and we would definitely be interested in going back.

Rented cabin in Sept '13. Everything in the pictures is just as shown. Very clean and with a GREAT view. The drive to the cabin is steep but fun. Owner was very easy to deal with. Its about 15 min from P.F. and 30 min from National Park if traffic is not too bad.

Best place that I have stayed at. Gorgeous Views of the Mountains. Stocked with everything you need to cook with. We stayed 3 nights and we are planning on renting this Cabin again.

My wife and I, as well as my sister and brother in law all stayed at this cabin over a long weekend. Upon arriving, the view was awe inspiring. Words and picture just cannot convey the panorama. The cabin was very well kept, and provided most of the basic household goods that you would need. Additional toiletries (such as toilet paper and extra towels) are recommended though. Beyond that, the cabin was well better than described and exceeded our expectations. Gabi was a wonderful woman to work with and I would go back many times again!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. With three adult children and two small dogs, we needed more space than a hotel could offer, and this place gave us the space we needed while providing together time as well. The cabin is lovely and well-maintained. I wasn't quite prepared for the steep, winding, SINGLE LANE road to get up here, but after navigating it once or twice (and some encouragement from the owner), we became accustomed to the drive (there are NO roads like these in Florida). Do yourself and your car a favor and use your lowest gear, and you will be fine. The cabin is about 10 minutes from the Pigeon Forge main street, so it's very accessible, but feels very remote at the same time. The cabin surroundings didn't lend themselves well to taking long walks with the dogs (did I mention the STEEP mountain grade?) but the pups got their exercise going up and down the loft stairs. This place definitely feels like a home away from home. My only complaint would be that we couldn't get the wireless Internet to connect to our smartphones, and the person who answered the phone at the cleaning service company did not have much info to help. This was not a deal-breaker for us, though, since we were busy with other activities throughout the day. It's been a great getaway and we are thrilled to have found this place. We would stay here again!

The best part about our trip was this cabin!! The view is simply breathtaking! Just waking in the morning and going outside is the BEST part of the day! The owner Gabi is such a sweetheart, very accomidating! We ended up eating a lot of our meals at the cabin and everything we needed was right there. The Air Conditioning worked very well and the water pressure is perfect. My kids loved the pool table and were never bored. I would highly recommend this cabin!

Great Cabin, Beautiful Views, Great Owner!!
July 14, 2013
I rented this cabin from July 3 through July 12, 2013. The cabin is exactly what you see in the pictures, there is absolutely no misrepresentation! The owner was great to deal with, very, very friendly and helpful. I visited with my 10 year old cousin and two dogs. We could not have been happier and absolutely did not want to leave. The trip up to the cabin is a breeze (if you follow the directions and turn at the right places). I made the trip with a Chevy Impala with no problems. We did have one slight issue with the air conditioner, called the owner and she had people up to fix it that day. I cannot say enough positive things about the cabin or the owner. I would rent this cabin again in a heart beat!!
Great View! Great Value!

My wife and I rented this cabin for a "Second Honeymoon". It was everything that we'd hope for. It is rustic, but very comfortable. It feels very private, and the view is spectacular. The entire wall facing the valley is glass, so you have an amazing panarama. We're booking it again. And this time we're going back for a week!

This place has breathtakingly beautiful views!!! My husband and I visit TN usually once a year, and we always rent a cabin or chalet. Found this one on Vacation Home Rentals, and after looking at the pictures and speaking with the owner, (who is a GEM, by the way!), we booked it for our vacation of 6 nights. The view from the porch (or even from INSIDE the cabin) is just awe inspiring! (Makes you remember how great our Creator is, standing before these majestic mountains...) The cabin is perched high on a mountain top side, and is very private & cozy, but still just a short drive to Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. The inside of the cabin is furnished with just about everything you could need, from kitchen utensils to extra blankets and pillows. All that YOU need to bring is your food & clothes! The beds were so-o-o comfy, and the ice cold AC felt so refreshing after walking around town in the heat all day! It stormed a couple of afternoons while we were there and if you haven't been able to experience this from a mountain top in TN, you are missing out on something spectacular! Rainbows so bright that you could almost see the 'pot of gold' at the end! :) Another amenity we loved is that this place is pet friendly. We have two miniature schnauzers that we took along with us, and there is a small grassy spot right behind the cabin for them to go potty. There is even a baby gate and a dog food bowl for the pets! How thoughtful is that? The best part of renting this cabin is the owner, who went above and beyond her responsibilities as a 'hostess'. Gabi is one of the sweetest people that I have ever dealt with, and truly CARED about our being comfortable and happy in her cabin. We will absolutely be renting this cabin from her & her husband again! Had a wonderful trip!!! (ONE IMPORTANT TIP----DO NOT USE YOUR GPS TO NAVIGATE TO THIS CABIN----USE GABI'S DIRECTIONS!!! Our GPS took us up a road that that I swear was right out of the movie 'Deliverance'!!!!! Scary looking people sitting out on their porches that were probably moonshiners thinking we were the feds!!!) Gabi's directions take you DIRECTLY to the cabin.

We were lucky enough to get the cabin for our first family vacation to Tennessee. We have a 9 month old and a 3 year old. We were close enough to the action of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville and far enough removed to enjoy the beauty of nature and the magnificent view of the Great Smokey Mountains. There are so many fun things to do with the kids in town but we could also come home to relax in the hot tub and make a home cooked meal. The house was stocked with great cookware and the best was the waffle iron! The kids really loved making waffles in the morning! We enjoyed a few of the easier hikes, especially the Laurel Falls Trail and we drove Cades Cove where we were lucky enough to spot some bears, deer and wild turkey. The aquarium is a MUST if you have children. Well worth the cost. Just amazing. We had a few minor issues and Gabi was so easy to get in touch with and quickly resolved any questions and problems we had. I would certainly stay here again. She was so hospitable and I wish I could hug her! The only things we wish we could have had was a gas grill and a washer and dryer.

My family and I drove from New Jersey to visit Pigeon Forge, we had never been here before. The cabin was clean, the beds were comfortable and the owner was very nice. The drive up Bluff Mountain to the cabin was adventureous. I would recommend this cabin to rent as I would have no issues staying here again. Thank You to the owners for a much needed very relaxing vaction. The Pridmore's from New Jersey :)

Loved the cabin and everything in it, we have told all our friends about this cabin and that they would love to stay there. (did warn that if they go in winter and weather is bad that they have to have the right car for this cabin) We do plan on coming back to this cabin in the future.

We were the lucky family that got the cabin rented for Thankgiving. Had a great time as usual in the area. Cabin will be a redo for us. The family loved it and the view was, well, A VIEW. We sat out on the porch every morning waiting for the sun rise. I will highly recommend this little cabin to anyone looking for a cozy true log cabin for a stay. Just know that the road to the cabin isn't for the weak at heart to do the driving up and down the hills. Brakes, have good brakes! Oh, forgot to mention the turkeys. Had 11 the morning after Thanksgiving gathered around the porch just before sun up. Next night they were on the porch!

We just returned to Louisiana from Pigeon Forge, where we stayed in this cabin. This area was new to us, so we weren't sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. Nice cabin, with a terrific view. We would recommend it.

I was only getting to spend a few days in Pigeon Forge so I didn't want to spend a fortune nor did I want to stay in a dump, guess you could say I wanted to have my cake and eat it too. I got just that with this wonderful cabin, it was clean, comfortable, well equipped kitchen and a hot tub on a huge porch with the most amazing view. I believe the cabin was the best part of my trip. The owner is a real gem to deal with and if I get the chance to go back again this is definately where I want to stay. You can be in the midst of all of the towns's excitement in about 10 minutes too.

A simply beautiful place to stay. The sunrises were breathtaking, the view was amazing. The cabin itself was tastefully decorated and very friendly. It was unseasonabIy warm but the hottub was the prefect place to cool off. I actually enjoyed the road up. This is a REAL cabin in the mountains. Please don't stay here, so there will be more days available for me to return time and again.

Beautiful view, comfortable cabin, will come back again. Would love to see it in the fall! Owner was very sweet and made the cabin very warm and welcoming.
