Description of the Shapleigh vacation home rental

Fully Furnished 3 bedoom house overlooking Granny Kent Lake. On a town maintained dirt road.Plenty of parking in front of the house and in a lot across the steet. Deck on the lake side with gas grill. Picnic table ,beach area and fire pit, dock and boat ramp. Maytag Stackable washer and dryer on first floor in down stairs bathroom. Cable, VCR, DVD player, air conditing in all rooms. There is one queen bed, one full, two twin, two day beds and one full pullout couch.2 sheds, some lounge chairs, floats,beach toys for small children extra refridgerater in one of the sheds. Great house for young and old. Fishing in summer or winter. A GEART PLACE TO KICK BACK AND ENJOY!

Area Description

This house is close to Sanford about 20 minutes for shopping, dining out and movies. There is a conveniet store 5 minutes away which offers pizza & subs. There is Blueberry picking in Acton, Maine. on Blueberry Hill in The end of July thur August. Antique stores 5 min away. Trails for riding ATV's on. Driving range and Mini-golf 20 minutes away in Waterboro. Funtown/Splashtown USA located 30 minutes away in Saco, Maine. Also drive in theater in Saco.

Required Stay: Saturday to Saturday
Lodging Tax: 7% Maine
Deposits: A deposit requirement of 250.00 due upon booking and half of rent. Remainder due apon arrivale.
Other Fees: A security deposit of 250.00 will be held upon departure untill there is an inspection on the house. The deposit will be returned within 5 business days.

Best Vacation Ever!!!, August 13, 2009

Just returned from one of the BEST vacations ever & we didn't have to fly or drive far to get there! We've stayed at places from Moosehead Lake to Bar Harbor, from Cape Cod to Newport and from Squam Lake to Stowe and this was by far the most comfortable we've ever been! A lovely lakeside property where the homeowners thought of everything. We loved kayaking/hiking mornings, building a "fire" in the real fireplace evenings to watch the moon rise over the lake and listening to the loons cry at night. I loved the nearly new washer/dryer, a kitchen I could really cook in (w/plastics provided for leftovers) and the spotless bathrooms. The kids went tubing, I could swim, avg. temp. 76, in a clean, clear, spring fed lake, my husband could fish. There was more than enough room for multiple family&friends to visit. We found a local farmer w/fresh veggies, eggs & meat; a quikstop/coffee shop w/homemade baked goods AND enough fun, quiet & relaxation to last a long time. We'll be back!!!

My family (myself, husband, daughter (12 yrs) and son (10 yrs) spent a week at this rental property. Beautifully-kept home on a fabulous lake. Neighbors (both regulars and renters) were so welcoming and friendly with appropriate privacy boundaries as well. We had a wonderfully sunny week with a beautiful thunderstorm and heavenly rainbow following the storm. For us, this property will always be at the beginning of the rainbow since the rainbow we enjoyed began at the lake! This was the first rainbow we ever saw at the origination point and we live on water so we've seen alot of rainbows! Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy their own space. Owners are lovely and accommodating. We will definitely be going back!
