Description of the Shelter Island vacation home rental

This special house is located on a bluff with a private view overlooking the ocean and a wrap around porch. Recently renovated and insulated for year-round use, it has five bedrooms (two of which are inter-connected) and two full bathrooms. The ground floor has a spacious living room, dining room and kitchen/family area. The bedrooms are upstairs- the master bedroom looks out to the ocean over a balcony. Full laundry facilities are downstairs. In total the house is 2000+ square feet.

It is located on a quiet street across from a beautiful historic church. It is very conveniently located near the beach which is a five minute walk, the ferry from Greenport, Long Island which is a six minute walk, and the town of Shelter Island Heights which is a five minute walk. It is also close to the yacht club. The area is very safe and pleasant to walk around. It is like living in a Norman Rockwell painting!

Membership to the Beach Club comes with this house. The Beach Club has lots of activities for children under 10. There are very nice restaraunts nearby- seafood, and Italian as well as a great coffee shop. Antiques and clothers shop also. Bike rental shop very close.

• Deposits: 10% security deposit required. Expenses deducted from security deposit payable within 45 days at the end of the lease
   
• Other Fees: Renter is expected to pay for professional cleaner upon exiting the property. Electricity, phone, gas, cable/TV, internet, lawn care and any property damage are the responsibility of the renter and are deducted from the security deposit. Memorial Day to Labor Day (5/29/10-9/6/10) is a summer rate of $42,000 total.
