Description of the Shelter Island vacation home rental
This special house is located on a bluff with a private view overlooking the ocean and a large back porch. Quiet location. Recently renovated and insulated for year-round use, it has five bedrooms (two of which are inter-connected) and three full bathrooms. The ground floor has a spacious living room, dining room and kitchen/family area. There is a great room downstairs with a large sliding glass door, full laundry and a back deck with a BBQ. The bedrooms are upstairs- the master bedroom looks out to the ocean over a balcony. Full laundry facilities are downstairs. In total the house is 3000 square feet.

Our house is located on a quiet street across from a beautiful historic church. It is very conveniently located near the beach which is a five minute walk, the ferry from Greenport, Long Island which is a six minute walk, and the town of Shelter Island Heights which is a five minute walk. It is also close to the yacht club. The area is very safe and pleasant to walk around. It is like living in a Norman Rockwell painting!

Membership to the Beach Club comes with this house. The Beach Club has lots of activities for children under 10. There are very nice restaraunts nearby- seafood, and Italian as well as two great coffee shops. Antiques and clothers shop also. Bike rental shop very close as is 9-hole golf course!
