Over shadowed by the historic Norfolk Southern Railroad and situated along the Shenandoah River this one of a kind post-civil war built private vacation rental, entitled the 'REEL EASY RIVER CABIN', has much to offer the history and outdoor lover with a nostalgic look, dual mountain views and direct riverfront access...canoeing and fishing are a must.

Centrally located just 15 miles from Massanutten Ski & Indoor/Outdoor Water Park Resort and historic Luray featuring Luray Caverns the most popular cave in Eastern America and an internationally acclaimed destination. Also internationally acclaimed is the Shenandoah National Park featuring the breathtaking Skyline Drive located only 25 miles from the property.

The REEL EASY RIVER CABIN has been uniquely renovated and furnished to preserve its historic character and country charm. On the inside you will find several old-school accents, games, antiques, vintage artifacts, movies, and interesting reading materials that will most certainly take you back in time.

On the outside, sit and enjoy both the river and the unique dual mountain views of the Blue Ridge and Massanutten mountain ranges as the mighty trains pass by and cross the arched stone tunnel located on the property line or take a quiet walk through the tunnel to explore the civil war graves just up the old wagon trail.

The REEL EASY RIVER CABIN sits on a river view beautiful lot and offers a large enclosed deck, fenced-in side yard complete with dog house, 2 BBQ grills, 4 fire pits, and a floating dock for your picnicking, fishing and swimming enjoyment. Tubes, canoes and kayaks are provided for a nominal extra cost ($50 for entire visit) so that you can either canoe/kayak the Shenandoah River or just stretch back in one of our tubes and float your day away.

While you are out, note that wild life is abundant and frequently spotted are bear, deer, turkey, otters, bald eagles, geese, ducks and various other types of land critters and waterfowl. The large and smallmouth bass populations in the river are also abundant making for excellent fishing...from the bank, private dock or on the water.
