Description of the Shingleton vacation home rental

Older very clean home with large yard. Close to Munising. Plenty of parking, firepit out back with seating. There is a garage if needed. Just let us know ahead of time please. There is privacy but you are also close to a country store, gas station and The Woodlands restaurant. There are hundreds of lakes to fish, boat,or just to relax and enjoy. The walking trails and sites to see are too many to list. We can help you to find all the interesting places to visit, such as the Glass Bottom Boat tours, Pictured Rock tours or the drive along the shore lines where you can get out and walk along the shores of beautiful Lake Superior. We also know the best spots for meals and also for the different casinos to visit.

Area Description

This area is full of things to do spring,summer,fall and winter. The spring brings the birds for bird watchers. The morning grousebeaks,humming birds,and gold finches are just a few of our colorful friends. The early trilliums are very abundant and looks like snow on the ground, that is five miles up the road. Then the trails for walking along the lakeshore are full of new growth and young critters if you look for them.
The summer is full of Pictured Rock Boat rides along the lake shore,or see the shipwrecks in the Glass bottom boat rides. Mushroom hunting, Blueberry picking, fishing it is all here and within a short distance. If you are not sure about what you can do just ask us.We can give you some ideas.
Also in the winter we have snowmobilers. The main trails thru the Upper Penn are all within six miles of the home. We have plenty of parking for trailers and autos.There is just too much to do or see to put in this description.
