Description of the Shingletown vacation home rental

This special home is located in a very secluded area where there are very few other summer homes, no traffic, creature noise, year round Bailey Creek right in the back yard, the road dead ends, acres of private forest land right out the front door, beautiful clear skies where you feel like you can touch the stars, and this is not in a subdivision.
The home is located just under 8 minutes from the north entrance to Lassen National Park.
Touch of home is newer construction, completed in 2008, plenty of room in this spacious 2 story, 2000' home with over 1200' of multi level decks to relax and enjoy outdoor dining, star gazing etc. The house is unique in itself and we are sure that you will feel right at home. Just under 4 hours from the Bay Area and 3 hours from Sacramento. No need to bring anything except your food and clothes, we supply the rest and much more.
The beds are extra comfortable with all new plush pillow top mattresses.
If you have never had the opportunity to visit Lassen National Park, you are in for a treat. It is filled with lakes for swimming and fishing, hiking trails of all levels, creature watching , and there are no crowds. The house sits on a private lane with a year round creek filled with native trout and there is a small fishing pond right down the lane. There are very few homes in this area so it is very peaceful. The average temperature in the summer is 80's during the days and 55-60 nights. There are several wineries in the area, a small community of Shingletown is just 10 minutes away with restaurants, bank, gas, groceries, and shops. Famous Hat Creek is just 20 minutes away for all of you Very Serious Fisherman. Other day trips include SubWay Caves, Burney Falls, Lake Britton, Turtle Bay & Sundial Bridge. No matter what you're looking for, it can all happen in this small, tucked away community of Viola. Private forest land is right out the front door with many miles of exploring, hiking, ATV riding, mountain biking, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, tubing, downhill skiing and snow shoeing. The elevation is 4500' and we start to see snow fall around mid December and it continues usually through March. You decide, we guarantee, you will not be disappointed with the house or the area.
