The apartment has a panoramic view of the fisherman 's wharf and seaside of Marzamemi.
There are 2 bedrooms (a room with a 1 Extra Lg. Double Bed and one with 3 single beds), a very nice and large kitchen with a read couch, bathroom with shower, there is a big terrace that can be used for dining in the outdoors, television (no satellite) ,barbeque and washer. The beach is very near. You will find some supermarkets, a variety of restaurants and suite shops .

Marzamemi

'Marzamemi is a small fisherman 's wharf village in the Siracusa 's southern coast. Its ' name is taken from the Arab word Marsa-al-haman which means 'bay of turtledoves . In the second half of the 19th century a harbor was built near the already existing tuna-fishery and the 1600 's villa of the Princes of Villadorata.
The area is endowed with spots of either naturalistic and historical interest, such as the Pantano Morghella, that is allegedly the site of the ancient city of Ichana going back to the 6th century BC.
During to stay you can visit the quiet village, to enjoy the typical mediterranean cooking and to taste the renowned local wine if you prefer to do. Nearby to visit there are : the baroque palaces and monuments of beautiful Noto (patrimony of the humanity: UNESCO) , the vineyards and wine-makers of Pachino. or go to the fish market every morning except Sundays at Capo Passero (7 km). In the evening you can walk along Marzamemi 's seaside where you can find a variety of restaurants, shops, and pubs.
Marzamemi 's night life is full of events such as an International film festival (last week of July), theatre, fashion shows, and other special events. The closest airport is in the city of Catania (85 km).
The summer season can be dedicated to a relaxing time on the uncontaminated beaches such as Vendicari (5 Km), Spinazza (150 m), isola delle correnti (4 km), etc ''',
The beaches are frequented since autumn becouse mediterranean-temperated climate.
The winter season is also very inviting for those who are searching for total relaxation.
To get to Marzamemi you can fly to Catania. There are many economic direct flights. From Catania you can hire a car or take a bus to get to Marzamemi.
The car is not absolutely necessary as there is a bus service between Marzamemi and the nearest little town of Pachino, but of course it is better to have a car so that you can move to other beaches or visit the surroundings which are very beautiful. Of course you can hire a car as you arrive at the airport of Catania.

In the second week-end of May in Noto (20 minutes drive) will take place the attractive 'infiorata' that means that the pavements of some streets will be decorated with paintings made with petals of different flowers and herbs).
From May to June in the Greek Theater of Syracuse ( 45 minutes drive from Marzamemi ) are shown the Greek Tragedies.

Temperatures
September is a beautiful month In Marzamemi. The temperature is from 20 to 30 degrees, so one can still swim as well as very often in October, when the temperature is from 16 to 25 degrees (celsius). In November as in April there are normally 14-20 degrees, in December 9-16, in January 8-15, in February 9-16, in March 10-17, in April 11-20, in Mai 14-24, in June 18-28. In Marzamemi normally there is one degree more than in the rest of Sicily as it is situated more south than Tunisia. On the second Sunday of May in Noto 'The Infiorata' will take place: They will decorate the streets with paintings all made with flowers. Noto is a very beautiful baroque town, so as Ragusa and Scicli. All the area is fascinating and worth a visit. June is a particular beautiful month. From 13 May to 26 June 2005, in the Greek theatre of Syracuse (45 minutes drive from Marzamemi) there are the classical representations: This year they give 'Antigone' by Sofocles and 'Seven against Tebe' by Eschilus.
