God blessed us through Sandi with a week of heaven on earth. Great weather, GREAT fishing, and a beautiful view. I enjoyed sitting near the water, refreshing swims, exciting fishing, and campfires with family. The camp has a large picture window and a sizable screened in porch that provided perfect vantage points for observing a pair of Loon and on several occasions watching an Osprey as well as a pair of Bald Eagles hunting over the water. The cabin's accommodations were just right for we 6 adults. Sandi's neighbors were nice and offered to help if needed! Mosquitoes were minimal ... much to our relief! The lake is just the right size to discourage loud speed boat activity while offering more than enough room for canoeing, pontoon boats, kayaking, and fishing boats. Our time there was serene. The cabin's positioning on the lake creates a very private atmosphere. Thank you, Sandi! We look forward to returning to Oak Pond!

Everything you need for a perfect vacation is here -a gentle, sandy beach, comfortable house, amazing fishing and kayaking and the coast is only 1 1/2 hours drive away. We loved Camden and sailed aboard the schooner Appledore II, hit the bookstores and enjoyed a great seafood lunch at Cappy's. Our family enjoyed breakfast looking at Oak Pond from the awesome porch, (I enjoyed coffee before anyone else was awake), we enjoyed the New Balance Tent Sale and the Skowhegan Cinema, the Skowhegan Fair and the excellent seafood available in town. So much to do and see that we are looking forward to next year. This really is the perfect Maine camp. The owners are very generous and kind, sharing hints about great places to visit and willing to answer any question (and I asked about a million while looking for places that the kids would enjoy). Sandi gave me hints that I would never have found on my own. All I can say is, perfect Maine Camp.

The lake is quite small but the view is spectacular. The owners were fabulous and went out of their way to meet our needs, helped us with getting a boat and motor, kayaks! Fishing was fairly good, caught a 5lb bass! Bedrooms are small but living area in cabin is open, large with big windows overlooking water, the porch makes the place. Great gradual beach for children. Definitely recommend it wholeheartedly! Great PLACE FOR THE SOUL

I wish everyone took the time to leave a review as this place is so wonderful. It was peaceful and gorgeous. The water is right out your front door and my hubby also caught the biggest fish HE has ever seen (it got away) but not before snapping his pole at the reel. Bring your linens, food and come to relax.

Absolutely loved the stay. My wife and I enjoyed every minute of our time at camp and the easy access to good day trips (Acadia, Bar Harbor, Rockland, Bangor). Had great fishing, caught the biggest fish of my life.

My husband and I spent our first anniversary at this camp, we could not have been more pleased with everything! The setting was perfect: quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. We spent most of our time fishing from the lawn, kayaking in the two provided, and enjoying the views from the porch. We also enjoyed exploring the town of Skowhegan!
