The home sits on a point with water on 3 sides. Enjoy morning coffee on the covered deck as you watch the egrets on the shoreline and the fish jump. If you are a early riser you may see the otters and on occasion a gator.
Ideal vacation property for fishing, crabbing, and boating enthusiasts, as well as those visiting New Orleans.
There is a boat launch for smaller boats and a dock for fishing crabbing. There are crab traps, some fishing rods, and live box for our guests. There is also a fire ring on the property for evening campfires.
After visiting New Orleans there is a plenty to see and do on the Northshore, visit antique shops and crafts in Old Town Slidell, the kids will enjoy Heritage Park, golf at the Oak Harbor, visit Global Wildlife Center where you feed and witness animals in their open and natural habitat in a relaxing covered wagon tour. Take a swamp tour through our beautiful bayous or just relax by the campfire roasting a few marshmallows at Point Of View.

Thank You (Tina & Mark) Sanbury, Ohio
Thank you for offering your home. I travel a lot between work and pleasure and prefer the houses to hotels. This was by far the best experience we have had. I always drive up saying "please let it be good, please let it be good." It was wonderful! You added so many personal touches, the additional supply in the kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room, the instruction book and the labeling made it so nice and inviting. As one person put it "it felt like being in my own home." My only regret was we were not there long enough. If the house is available the next time I'm in New Orleans, I would like to book again.
Beautiful Home and Perfect location txis (San Angelo, TX (11-29-11)
This well appointed home is perfectly situated for a fabulous view, It's also a fisherman"s paradise. A short boat ride down the canal reaches the Lake where redfish and catfish were biting, and the bass were plentiful in the canal itself. The owners of this property made us feel really welcome and many extra amenities made us feel at home. We enjoyed our stay so much we added an extra day because we did not want to leave.
Stay at Point of View, Paddy (Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada) 11-01-11
Excellent experience overall: the house is perfect in terms of comfort and organization, and the owner consistently ready to help. Great opportunities to visit downtown New Orleans, a half-hour away, to explore the bayou and various plantations, and to fish & crab right at home. It's a great welcome to the beautiful state of Louisiana. Highly recommended.

We loved being at Point Of View and hated having to leave. We will be back very soon. I found myself walking around the French Quarter wanting to get back to our own little island!!!
