Description of the Smithfield vacation cabin rental

Secluded & private log cabin located on beautiful East Pond. Enjoy this smoke free cozy 1br cabin, sleeps 4(queen size bed & queen pull out sofa bed) with satellite t.v, high speed wireless internet, dvd, monitor heating, also includes linens & towels. Fully equipped kitchen, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven,frig & stove. Carpeting throughout lvg & br, fans, & full bath /shower. Natural shorefront provides wild blueberries. Kayak & canoe with life jackets are for your use.Public Boat Landing a short distance away to moor your boat. Jet skii allowed. Explore ospery & eagle nest, loons, blue heron, beavers & much more! Spring fed pond provides excellent swimming area with sandy bottom(no beach for sm children),boating & fishing (Brown Trout, Bass, Perch, Pickerel etc).
Lrg yard with ample parking provides picnic area with picnic table, gas grill & lawn chairs. Also plenty of room for tents & campers(hook-ups). Guest are also welcome to visit(no overnights). No smoking allowed in cabin please.

The cabin is situated on a private road 1/2 mi. in off the main road. Wooded with no visable neighbors. Waterville and Skowhegan 15 mins away with Augusta 25 mins. Smithfield Village can be accessed by boat by taking the serpentine to The Ice Cream Place with dock. Walk to the Smithfield General Store, post office , roller rink or the Bapist Church. Other surrounding areas include organic farm stand, hiking & nature trails, biking, white water rafting & tubing, summer play theaters, antiques, golf courses etc.

Our stay at the cottage in Smithfied Maine was far better than we could have ever imagined. The place was exceptionly clean and well situated, very private. The owner was very friendly and accomodating. Will definately go back.

Spent three great weeks here. Jean is a top notch owner who wants to be sure everything is okay and goes out of her eay to accomodate her renters. We're thinking already about going again next year.
