Beautiful House

This cabin lived up to, and above and beyond the description. The privacy and view around the cabin was breathtaking. We were lukcy enough to receive over 6 inches of snow while we were there, and for us southerners, it was a treat to see such a beautiful place blanketed in snow. The cabin is spacious and modern and was the backdrop for my boyfriend of almost 10 years to propose to me! He always knew that I wanted it to happen somewhere special, and Niakiska will always be that special place. This place is truly perfect for taking groups of friends as we did, or it could be the perfect place for alarge family gathering, or engagement party! We WILL go again, and the manager Joy was so kind and gave the town a friendly small town feel, while being less than 6 miles away from a huge snow resort where we had a blast. I couldn't reccomend this place more...

This lodge was nestled on the mountain by a gorgeous tree that was over 200 years old. There were deer all around the cabin. The kids built a snowman right on the deck, a fort from dead limbs around the property and we went sledding on the property and across the street on a tall hill. We had all we needed right there but it wasn't far from the ski slopes. It was quiet to sleep. We were 2 families with 10 of us and there was plenty of room. One of the best things was that the ones who takes care of the property made us feel like home, she even came to show us how to make snow ice cream and he brought over an awesome sled for us to use.. It was truly a tranquil experience. I give it a 5 star rating.
