Description of the South Chatham vacation home rental

Peace & Quiet in the heart of the White Mountains. Visit us once and you will come back every year as this is a very special place. Although we are secluded, you will have the option to take advantage of many different types of activities all within 30 minutes of the property. However, it is so beautiful and comfortable here you may never want to leave. This property is suitable for family reunions as we have additional units available as well, just let us know your needs and we will be happy to accommodate.

Wildlife viewing is fantastic on our lake. Loons come here to mate every year and they will serenade you to sleep every night from May through October. We have moose splashing around on the shore, beaver slapping their tails on the water, eagles, osprey and many other species of birds, deer, bear, etc, etc, etc. Ask Peter about the secret local spots, although you'll be sworn to secrecy, he'll take you or tell how to get there.

The home is 4 years old, 3 levels with views from every window. Marble and Pergo Flooring. There are 3 bedrooms and two sun rooms with beds allowing for a total of 10 guests. The home was built with quality and comfort in mind. In winter you will stay warm and very comfortable no matter what the outside temperature as the home is heated by a radiant floor system. The cottage is quaint and rustic with stone fireplace, small kitchen, small living room, master bedroom with beautiful views through the walkout french doors, second bedroom with bunk beds, fold out couch in the living room.
And of course the screened in porch overlooking the lake and mountains.

If you wish, Peter and Deb will be available to help you plan your activities, cook your meals, do your shopping, etc. We endeavor to make your stay memorable.

Area Description

Our lake (1 mile long by 1/2 mile wide) has been written about in local news papers as being a wonderful spot to canoe and kayak, the paddling is great. There are only about 10 other homes on the lake so there won't be a lot of noisy neighbors to deal with. The lake is full of Bass and Pickerel and the local streams are full of trout. Our town has many hiking and snowmobile trails to explore.

We can scoot over Hurricane Mountain Road and be in North Conway in 15 Minutes.

Great place for the Fryeburg Fair as we go in the back way (15 Min) and miss the traffic.
