The home has 3 bedrooms with 2 queen and 1 king bedroom sets with Sealy and memory foam mattresses, respectively, plus a convertible futon sofa/queen bed in the loft.

The open kitchen is great for entertaining and features stainless steel appliances, a pop-up downdraft range hood and granite bar/counter tops with 4 barstools. The dining room set can seat 6 people.

The great room has a wood fireplace, a reclining leather sectional and a 67" full high definition home theater LED DLP TV with a 5.1 Dolby HD surround system that includes Definitive Technology Procinema speakers and an easy-to-use color touch screen-based unified remote for one-touch control of common activities.

The Playstation 3 is PS3 game-ready, wireless high-speed Internet (B,G,N) connected, includes a web browser and it also plays CD music, regular DVD movies or Blu-ray HD DVDs.

Whether you are skiing at the nearby Wolf Creek ski area - where lift lines are practically nonexistent and the snow fall is the MOST in Colorado, fishing the fabulous trout on the Rio Grande river, enjoying a workout or some other activity at the beautiful and extensive Rio Grande Club, hunting or on some other trek in the adjoining Rio Grande National Forest, or out to explore the splendor of the other nearby natural Colorado wonders, this home can be a relaxing place to come back to and rejuvenate.

Area Info
This home is uniquely situated 5 Miles East of South Fork, 25 Miles to the Wolf Creek Ski Area and 4 blocks from the longest stretch of Gold Metal rated (by US Fish & Game) trout fishing in Colorado! Being on the east side of Wolf Creek means you avoid the frequent closings of the pass due to heavy snow fall there so you can still enjoy skiing the best and most snow in Colorado.
The property has a nice hill in back that offers a nice hike to a greater view of the valley, National Forest, Rio Grande river and mountains.
Guest membership to the Rio Grande Club (see link below and owner for details) is also included, which is only 4 miles away. This property has an amazing and beautifully designed 18 hole golf course, in addition to fine dining, a separate fly fishing clubhouse and other facilities.
The area is only 20 miles to Creede, home of repertory theatre in the summer and early fall months. The surrounding area offers well over 20 trails for hiking, biking, ATV and 4x4 touring, as well as snow craft and sledding trails in the Winter time.

A Great Experience for the Whole Family

March 26, 2010

Your cabin was a treat to stay in. The open, yet secluded, areas were a great exploring experience for the kids. Watching a bull elk grazing just behind the property for two consecutives nights was awe-inspiring to all. The setting of your beautiful cabin (both inside and out) was, by far, the nicest and most enjoyable place I have ever had the pleasure to stay. Thanks again.

"Everything at your house was just as you described - top notch. We had no problems with directions or getting into the house upon our arrival. The house was very clean and everything worked fine. And we all enjoyed watching some Blu-ray DVDs on the home theater setup - quite impressive! Thanks again. If available, we will contact you about renting the house when we come back to South Fork this summer."

"We had such a wonderful time this weekend and enjoyed staying at your lovely home. Thank you for all the info to make our stay the most comfortable it could be. We hope to return to Wolf Creek at least one more trip this ski season and will most certainly check your house for availability first. Thanks again"

"We are just back from our stay at your beautiful log home. It was everything the listing stated it would be and more! The drive to and from the Ski Resort was beautiful and the location of your home was distant enough to offer privacy, while not being totally secluded. We had a wonderful time. I forgot to mention in my earlier e-mail the pretty little bluebird that took up residence on your deck, much to the delight of our two toddlers! It was very brave and didn't fly away even during their squeals of laughter. What a great entertainer he turned out to be. And we all enjoyed watching the mule deer make their trek up and down the mountain each morning and afternoon."

We really enjoyed our stay! Great family vacation spot - skiing, sledding, snowmobiling, home cooked meals, board games & movie nights made for fantastic memories. Your property is beautiful! We will certainly keep it in mind for the future and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Thanks, again!

âWe had a great time and really enjoyed staying in the house. It worked out perfect for our family. My wife thought your bed was so comfortable she wants to buy the same type of mattress for our house. Thanks again and you will probably be hearing from us next season.â

"We had great fishing today. Not a soul there and we pulled them in every time we cast out..... ....the place is very nice......"
