Description of the South Lake Tahoe vacation home rental

The house is located in an easy-to-access neighborhood, which backs up to the forest. The backyard is fenced, but the gate opens to trails that are perfect for a hike, mountain bike ride, snow shoeing or skiing adventure. From the front of the house, Trout Creek is just a few minutes' walk away and is great for a walk or play. A five minute car ride takes visitors to the lake, Heavenly Valley Ski Resort, Casinos, shopping and dining. The quiet neighborhood is great for a family vacation! Enjoy board games at the house's game table, play asteroids with the vintage arcade game, watch DVDs or cable television on a big-screen flat-panel TV while relaxing on one of the sofas next to the wood burning stove. BBQ on the back deck or relax on the patio furniture. Cook in the fully equipped kitchen (microwave, stove, oven, refrigerator, pots and pans, glasses, plates, dishwasher, K-cup coffee maker with coffee & cocoa,etc.) and do laundry when needed in the washer and dryer. The kitchen pet door allows dogs to come and go freely into the fenced back yard. Minimal front steps allow those with disabilities to easily gain access to the house and the two car garage can be used for safe parking. Sleds & snow shovels in the garage can be used by all for constructing snow forts and snow men during the winter. Wifi & Xbox 360 too.

This is the second time staying here, nice/reasonable accommodations in a convenient and quiet location. Close enough to So. Lake Blvd, far enough away to find peace and quiet. Great location for a golf weekend at Lake Tahoe Golf Course.

Relax and Renew!

We arrived to this house needing a quiet and comfortable vacation, and boy did we have one! The neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed taking a nice walk venturing out into the surrounding area. We enjoyed the BBQ pit, outside eating area, and the awesome kitchen and living room. We happily enjoyed hiking spots and also just relaxing at home. It was the peaceful escape we needed, and would definitively come back!

Great Time

July 23, 2010

The house was very well stocked and well away from the downtown hubbub but still very close to the action. We watched a bear in the woods behind the house for about 20 minutes and got some wonderful pictures! --also saw some coyotes and another bear near the fire station. The best part was the para-sailing!! If anyone tells you it only takes 15 minutes to paddle to Emerald Bay from Camp Richardson- don't believe them. It's more like 2 hours one way! The two labs loved the woods and the doggie swimming area. We would rent this house again. We would rent this house again.
