Description of the South Orleans vacation home rental

Large, welcoming home for your family reunion or large group. Fully equipped, spacious home near Pleasant Bay beaches and boating. Sunfish on mooring and dinghy included. Very private yard recessed from quiet cul de sac street. BBQ/grill on deck with two tables and seating for outdoor dining. Living room, family room and sunroom all offer seating areas to accommodate large groups. Hot tub in green house area. Steam shower. Four bedrooms upstairs (2 queen, 1 king, 4 singles), bedroom with queen bed downstairs.Basketball hoop in driveway, ping pong table. Two car garage. Good supply of books, cookbooks, games, etc. Toys for toddlers. High chair and porta-crib available if needed. Wireless internet connection, TV's, DVD and VCR players, collection of videos, CD's and DVD's for rainy days. Extra fridge and freezer in the garage. Well-equipped kitchen for the weekend chefs in the family. Plenty of parking in long driveway.

Area Information

The house is 3/4 of a mile from sandy beach at Pleasant Bay. We are an easy 10 minute drive to Nauset Beach or the Bay beaches. Nearby Orleans offers many restaurants, shops, galleries,craft shows, bike trails and bike rentals, kayak rentals, fishing charters, fresh ponds, theatres, recreation programs, tennis courts, etc. Golf is 10 minutes away in Brewster. Chatham restaurants and shopping are only 9 miles away. Cape Cod National Seashore offers miles of beaches and a 40 minute drive will take you to colorful Provincetown for galleries, restaurants, and shopping.

The house was lovely as was the location and the landscaping. It was close to amenities. The kitchen was well equipped. The beaches nearby were not the best, and the water was a bit chilly. The sunfish sailboat could use some maintenance. The home is ideal for a large extended family.

Very comfortable, spacious home. We had four families, eight adults, four young children and never felt crowded. Good sized highly functional kitchen. Quiet, away from roads. Close enough to the beaches, stores, etc. Would definitely go back.

This house is stocked full of all kinds of things you wouldn't normally think of finding in a vacation rental. There is a chef's kitchen complete with blender, food processor, and Kitchen-Aide mixer. There are books, books, and more books for reading while you pass the time on one of the decks. There are more toys for kids than I think my daughter had when she was growing up. Need to relax after a long day of hiking, biking, or kayaking? There is the hot tub and a steam shower to chase the aches and pains away. For those of you who can't leave the office behind, there is the internet. In other words, this house has something for everyone.
