The "Starboard Cottage"
This cottage sits right on the ocean’s edge with panoramic views. Drink your morning coffee watching the sunrise on the oceanfront deck. Spend your days exploring sea life among the rocks, watching the seals and seabirds, walking in the woods, or watching the lobster boats out front. Bring your kayak to launch from our small pebble beach right out front. The clear night sky is filled with stars close enough to touch. Fall asleep listening to the water lap at the shore. Antiquing, fine dining, museums, hiking and golf are just a sample of many ways to spend the day - if you can tear yourself away.

The Starboard Cottage is one side of a duplex (see photos). The other side is the "Port Cottage" and is listed separately. The Starboard cottage has two bedrooms and 1 1/2 bathrooms. The master bedroom on upstairs has a king-sized bed, full bathroom and overlooks the ocean. On the main level you’ll find a bedroom great for children, with a set of jr. bunkeds and a twin bed. There is half bathroom on this level. This cottage is fully outfitted, including linens, towels, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer, and fireplace, includes cable television and wireless internet access.

Spruce Head is a small lobster-fishing village on Penobscot Bay in midcoast Maine. The nearest city is Rockland, about ten minutes away.

There is a small airport in Owls Head with commercial flights to Boston and facilities for private aircraft. Nearby Thomaston, Rockport and Camden are beautiful towns with small shops and galleries. Lighthouses, museums, restaurants, art galleries, numerous summer festivals, hiking, fishing, shopping, day cruises and more are all available within a half-hour drive.

And of course, there is lobster to eat everywhere. Or, even better, buy it fresh and bring it back to enjoy on your own deck, taking in the view.
