Description of the South Yarmouth vacation home rental

Our family friendly year round vacation home can make your vacation memories come true, where during the busy summer or the relaxing off-season.

Our home has just about everything you need to be as comfortable as you are at your home. The house is big enough that parents and children can have their quiet times without ever feeling crowded, and multiple cable TV's allow for different TV viewing interests. JUST ADDED WIRELESS INTERNET!!!!!

The side yard just begs for a seasonal wiffle ball tournament! Our home is big enough for one large or extended family, two smaller families or for up to three couples. We also have rented to many small groups and couples who want a nice quiet residential neighborhood as their home base.

Centrally located in the middle of Cape Cod, Between Exits 8 & 9 off Rt. 6, you are near everything you would want or need on your vacation, whether you are looking for quiet relaxation, golf, beaches, shopping, great restaurants, outdoor activities, etc., obviously season permitting.

The Ocean and Bay Beaches of Yarmouth & Dennis are a short drive away, or take a longer ride to one of the beautiful National Seashore Beaches that can be explored year round or swimming in summer months. You also have the ability staying at our home to take a short quiet walk to explore more of the Cape's natural beauty in/around Follin 's Pond, Kelley's Bay which is at the end of Bass River. You will find you are on a peninsula that juts into Bass River, and is surrounded by salt water ponds and bays. The neighborhood entrance gives you a spectacular view of a large area of cranberry bogs. It's a nice walk around the quiet family neighborhood.
Summertime adds more options on Bass River and other venues like fishing, crabbing, or other water involved activities. With boat access rights on Bass River, your boat has access via Bass River to Nantucket Sound.

Shopping is one of the most popular vacation pastimes no matter what time of year you visit. You will find contemporary malls and many downtown specialty gift shops, antique shops and many outlet stores. You are centrally located in Mid Cape, but you can find all of the above once from Cape Cod Canal Area all the way to the tip of Provincetown, and don't forget Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.

Sports range from fishing, boating, whale watching, biking, golf (regular and miniature) and many other sports related activities, again weather and seasonal availability may be a consideration when planning your trip.

If you like baseball, one of the great traditions of summer on the Cape is the Cape Cod Baseball League. It has been the premier amateur baseball league in the nation since 1885. There are ten teams and all have the most talented college players on their roster.

The Dennis-Yarmouth Red Sox 's home field is in Yarmouth, and the games are free! Search on the net for the Yarmouth-Dennis or YD Red Sox; as it will explain it better. There are currently 183 former Cape Cod players in the Major Leagues including some of the current & former Boston Red Sox players.

Players like Jason Varitek, Kevin Millar, Jeremy Giambi, Doug Mirabelli, Bill Mueller, Nomar Garciaparra, Mo Vaughn, Jeff Bagwell, Mark Bellhorn, Aaron Boone, Lance Berkman, Javier Lopez Mark Loretta, Mike Lowell, Carlos Pena, Barry Zito, Kevin Youkilis, Bobby Kielty and many more!

So there are many places to go, see, explore, many sports to play or watch. Do not forget day trips to Martha 's Vineyard, Nantucket, P-Town or exploring the National Seashore in from Chatham up to P-Town and don't forget whale watching! Then there is the restaurants that cover every gambit of cuisine, from fancy to family friendly to cafe type to train dinner or lunch trips, but you can never go wrong with fresh Cape Cod seafood; It 's the best!

Do your homework; Check out the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce or the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce websites. There is also a site for "Kids on the Cape that will give you much more info as well for family activities and the National Seashore/Parks websites for more info than you need!

We now have wireless internet if you need to be in touch with the office, friends or want to web search for Cape restaurants or activities. It also helps the kids that bring down their Wiis or PSPs. We only have a Nintendo 64, so take that into you planning.... or not parents.

ROOM SET-UP: Brand new (April 09) Sealy Plush Queen in seperate bedroom. 2nd bedroom has two twins and large 3rd bedroom has 2 twins and 1 full with plenty of extra room for the additional extra beds if needed.

A friend and I went with 6 teens for a long weekend, and just loved it. The house is very spacious and comfortable. It was immaculate, full of light and nicely decorated. The gift basket was a charming touch! The yard is lovely, nice deck and great grill! Even with 6 teens there was plenty of room. The house is close to shopping, to Hyannis, toactivities, beaches, etc. Definitely need to go back.

Even though it rained most of our vacation the kids had a great time. There was plently of room in the house even with five kids 2 of them being handi-capped. The house was very clean and well organized. The kithcen had everything we needed to cook since we were inside. I love that it is close to a wide variety of things to do.

the house was in a quiet neighborhood, we had my daughter, son-in-law and 2 young grand chidren with us. the house was spacious and very kid friendly..we grilled on the gas barbeque and enjoyed the picnic table with umbrella!!!! the kitchen was fully equipped, including a dishwasher! my grand childern did not want to leave so I called the hills and asked if we could extend our stay, but they had other renters comming in on saturday..the house was immaculate when we arrived and we appreciated that...the outside landscaping was beautiful...the first night we came in after dark and there were solar powered lights along the driveway and one in a small lighthouse on the front lawn..the kids loved it. if you are looking for a great place to relax and have a great time this house is the one..its only minutes to the beach, the rt 28 strip in south yarmouth and 2 minutes to the supermarket..we wii definately rent this house when we come up for vacation next year...JOE AND FAMILY

My family and I rented this lovely home for a week at the Cape. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. It truly felt like a home and was very comfortable. We would certainly book this home again.
