Description of the Spring Hill vacation home rental

Spectacular spacious home away from home. Screened in heated swimming pool. Privacy fenced back yard. Fully stocked kitchen, all you need is food. 15 minutes from the beach and Weeki Watchie River. Great canoeing, tubing and swimming in the Weeki Watchie River with the manatee's and dolphins. Further north is the rainbow river and other great outdoor activity to include scuba diving and snorkeling. Great golfing as well only a 10 minute drive. Or if you like 45 minutes from Tampa, FL with great shopping opportunities and restaurants along with Busch Gardens theme park and Adventure Island water park. Clearwater Beach and St. Petersburg beach also 60 minutes away with beautiful beaches and great shopping as well. Orlando, FL is also a 60-80 minute drive east. Whatever you are looking for in a vacation, Spring Hill is a great destination.

Area Description

Spring Hill is at the heart of Florida's Gulf Coast. Known as The Nature Coast. There are plenty of outdoor activities such as Golf, Tennis, Walking, Cycling, Bird Watching, Rowing, Sailing. Nearby Tampa has world class shopping malls and restaurants. St. Pete's Beach And Clearwater Beach are some of the best around. Take time to explore the Weeki Wachee River, Bayport or Pine Island. These local attractions are only a few minutes drive. Crystal River and Homosassa are interesting towns a short drive north. There is plenty to do in and around Spring Hill. If you enjoy the outdoors and like more of a country setting not far from the city this is your place.

Other Vacation Rental Amenities

Weeki Watchie river is nearby (10 miles) which is a spring fed river. Temp. is 72 degrees year round. Manatees are in this river along with dolphins. A great place to canoe or go tubing on. Also the famous Weeki Watchie mermaids are at Weeki Watchie water park where you can go swimming or view the mermaids and go on a riverboat ride.

Being our first time visiting Florida, and first time booking through home & away the owner was very helpful and I appreciated the emails shared prior to our trip. Prompt response to our inquiry making it a very easy & organized process. The pictures and description listed on the site was very accurate and the booked calendar is up to date.

After spending a couple of nights in a very noisy, Florida hotel room, we were very pleased to reach your house and find an extremely clean, well-maintained home in a nice quiet neighborhood.

We were greeted at the door and given a tour of the house, pool and the general locations for grocery and restaurant locations. Padula's pizza was very good and they deliver! Publix and Winn Dixie grocery stores are very close. Spring Hill is a nice little community where folks are very friendly and helpful. The neighbors even brought the trash can up to the garage door for us one night when we arrived back very late.

The location of this house worked great for us since our goal was to see Florida. Homosassa, Clearwater, & Tampa were a short drive and Orlando is only about 90 minutes away. Traveling with teenagers, this house gave us all space when we needed it versus tripping over each other in the hotel and waiting for the bathroom. We liked having 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and the nice large eat in kitchen. I definately recommend visiting the white sand beaches along the gulf.

I would definately rent again.

After a long day of driving, we were relieved to arrive at your house in Spring Hill and find such a cozy, convenient vacation getaway! We were met at the front door and given a helpful tour of all the amenities that your property has to offer and immediately felt very welcome. There was plenty of space in the house and the fenced yard for our two dogs to stretch their legs out and everything was very pet friendly such that we didn't have to worry about them romping around and knocking anything over. We spent most of our time out of the house enjoying all that Florida has to offer but, when we made it back in the evenings, it was wonderful to find all of the comforts of home and a quiet neighborhood around us. Thanks for the open, honest communication, trusting us to have our pets in your home, and for making us feel so welcome!

Owners Response: As pet owners ourself we realize that people vacationing sometimes want to bring there pets with them. Our home is set up for little ones along with pets as it will eventually be our permanent home when my husband is finished with his military career. We thank all of the people who have stayed and enjoyed our home for taking care of it. We hope many more people will enjoy it as well.

very nice neighborhood, easy driving access to local attractions and attractions in Orlando and Tampa

Owners Response: Thank you for the feedback. One of the great things about the house is that it is so close to Tampa and not far from Orlando but still has a more country feel to it. The neighborhood is very safe with a sheriff that lives a few houses down.
