SLEEP IN HARMONY

Harmony, ME, Great Moose Lake. Two-bedroom cottage, sleeps six, located directly on a large beautiful lake in mid-Maine. Cottage is rustic, but comfortable, there is a canoe and dock for people's use, an outside fire ring, charcoal grill, inside hot/cold shower, electricity and an oven/stove. It is located in a lovely pine grove 30 feet from the water‘s edge, with gorgeous views across the lake. Swim, boat, fish or just sit on the porch and listen to the loons. $600/week. Contact Jeff

Surrounding area-
The cottage is located on the Harmony/Athens town line in mid-Maine. There is grocery shopping and big box stores located a half an hour away, with restaurant, movies and theater available as well. It is centrally located to many of the diverse and breathtaking landscapes that Maine has to offer. Approximately 1 hour west is Kingfield, the gateway to some of the most beautiful mountains in ME including Sugarloaf. There are gorgeous hiking trails and scenic drives throughout the region. North approximately 1 hour’s drive is Maine’s largest lake, Moosehead Lake, with thousands of acres of surrounding wilderness. The village of Forks is an hour’s drive northwest, and is home to some of the most exciting rafting areas in New England. Drive east for 1 1/2 hours and you will arrive at the famous Maine coastline. The city is Belfast; this is a pleasant and interesting village which seems to have successfully blended a centuries-old lobstering tradition with a more progressive aretistic feel. The beautiful mid-Maine coast opens up in both directions; southwest through Lincolnville, Camden, Rockland and the mid-Maine Islands, or northwards(down east ) to the stunning Acadia National Park and the endless coastline beyond.
But uqite possibly once you get to the lake and begin to relax, you may never want to leave.
