The Oviedo House is a charming 2 story house offering convenient lodging close to Historic downtown St. Augustine and Flagler College. This house was built around 1910 as a rooming house for nurses of Florida East Coast Hospital, located 2 blocks from Flagler College, six blocks from Historic downtown and just a few miles from great shopping and the beach. It has been completely remodeled with care to offer new amenities, yet keep all its original charm!

The Oviedo House is the best St. Augustine vacation rental for medium sized groups near all of St. Augustine's top attractions and things to do. Whether on business or pleasure, this house will definitely be able to meet all your traveling needs and more! You can go directly to oviedohouse to see additional information. With the addition of the "Dakota Suite", Oviedo house can sleep up to 14 people comfortably.

Dakota Suite: We have just added the "Dakota Suite" to the vacation rental. It is a separate apartment upstairs that sleeps up to 4 and we use for family and it can now be rented separately at $125.00/night, or as part of the Oviedo House for an additional discounted rate of $99.00/night. Please call for availability.

Area Description

At the west end of the block is a sixties style diner and the east end of the block are the Flagler College tennis courts. There are numerous antique shops, book stores,restraunts and historic buildings within walking distance.

Other Fees: Dakota Suite: Can be added to the Oviedo House for an additional $99.00/night if the Oviedo House is booked. To book the Dakota Suite by itself, it is $125.00/night with a 5 night minimum.

This house was wonderful and had everything we needed for a perfect vacation, including a BBQ, towels, and a full kitchen for cooking. The house was clean and comfortable. The only downside was sharing the upstairs floor with live-in renters, but if you are comfortable with that, this is a great deal.

Our family gathered at the Oviedo House from several states. There was room for all. Even the pull-out couch was comfortable. A notebook with labeled pictures showed where everything was in the kitchen. The kitchen/living room combination is spacious and comfortable. A favorite place was the rocking chairs on the front porch. We were greeted with fresh flowers, lights on and the gas fireplace lit in one of the bedrooms. I agree with a previous reviewer that it would have been nice to have a full bath upstairs, but we were able to all use the ones that are downstairs. It was a pleasure to be able to relax together, grill a great dinner and walk safely through the whole area. We felt as if we were family guests. I think that is the owner's intention. This is, and was, their family home. It shows in all the conveniences from laundry, fully appointed kitchen and comfortable sitting. We were sorry to leave.

We enjoyed our stay at the Oviedo house. It is only a few blocks away from the Old Town. The house is spacious, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. It has a nice, large kitchen that opens to the living area. There is a large laundry room in the back, two bedrooms with full baths are located on the first floor. There is also a library/family room and a powder room downstairs. A large bedroom with one full and two twin beds is located upstairs. It would be even better if there was an additional full bath available upstairs,next to the large bedroom. These nighttime trips down the stairs to the bathroom were a bit inconvenient. Also, the house smells a bit musty. Otherwise it is nice and clean and we would definitely come back and refer others to stay there.
