My family recently stayed here for 4 nights, beautiful home, right on the beach and extremely convenient! There were 11 of us, plenty of room to sleep and lounge! I was very impressed with all the pots, pans, Tupperware and accessories... Might seem silly but with a large crowd it was extremely useful! We will definitely be back!!

We stayed at this home for the second time now. We love the location and convenience factor. Good house for a lot of people. We had 6 comfortably housed. The beach is right there as well as the Publix supermarket.

Great Location and a true beach house

We stayed here for a fall weekend and enjoyed it. The location is wonderful! Quiet street with a boardwalk to the beach right out your door. It truly is a beach house which I love, but do not expect top of the line. It can use some fixes, the ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms is out of line so scraps if you try to use it, the decking could use some attention to avoid splinters, that type of thing - nothing major - it was clean and as advertised and on the beach. Publix grocery store within walking distance, Easy trip into St. Augustine. I would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for your review. We were not aware of the issue with the ceiling fan, but we will replace it immediately. The deck is old and we have plans to extend it during the slow season to have a great place to sunbath, grill and look at the beach. We look forward to your return.

great vacation had by all

we were there for a graduation and wedding and had the time of our lives. The home was in the best location on vilano beach easy access to beach and store and the ice cream shop. 12 of us in the home with a few visitors had had plenty of room. 2 of the sleepers weren't very comfortable but the kids didn't mind. Would go back again and again... We stayed a week but would have liked to be there 2 weeks. Thank you Mr. Porter great home and your quick responses to any questions we had were very much appreciated.

Amazing Experience!

This was our first vacation in a long time! Owner is a wonderful person and the house and location was perfect! Waking up every morning and sitting on the beach to watch the sunrise was so peaceful. Publix chicken is still the best and conveniently located around the corner.

We just got back from a great week at the beach! Had a family reunion with folks from PittsburghPA,, Portland Oregon, Alabama and Keystone Heights, Florida. Loved the location close to St. Augustine. Beach was great as was the house. Our 13 year old nephew summed up our week with this comment on Friday evening: "I hated to see this day come, now we have to go home, no more beach til next year." Great beach house

We spent Christmas and New Year's at the beach house and it was wonderful. First of all, William Porter, the owner is very, very accommodating and attentive. We appreciated the fact that he took the time to provide us with a decorated Christmas tree and other Christmas decor displayed throughout the house. The location of the beach house is outstanding. The boardwalk to the beach is just a few steps from the front door. One of the highlights of our vacation was our sunrise walks on the beach and watching the dolphins that were very close to shore. The St. Augustine area has a lot to offer visitors. We enjoyed riding our bikes around the area and visiting the historic sites in and around St. Augustine. ....Ft. Matanzas, San Sebastian Winery wine tasting, the park with the carousel (that my grandson loved), fireworks at the pier. The house itself is very comfortable and clean. We will come back again next year. Thanks so much for the great vacation.

We were in town for a wedding and needed a place that could accomodate 2 families for a full week. After finding the house on the internet, we asked my brother, who lives in Vilano, to check it out for us. We contacted the owner and my brother and his wife were allowed to walk through. On their recommendation, we decided to book. We couldn't be happier with our decision. First of all, our arrival and departure days were not typical for a vacation rental and the owner was very, very accomodating. We even had a last minute change in our arrival day and he was more than happy to work with us. The location is perfect. It really is right on the beach. The dunes obsucure your view slighly but it didn't detract from the experience at all. Vilano is a great little town and seems like it's on its way to bigger and better things. The beach is obviously close by as are several restaurants which are within walking distance. The new Pulbix should be completed shortly which will be ideal. There's also a boat rental place on the other side of the bridge (Cast and Cruise) with a nice seletion of cruising and fishing boats. The house itself is much bigger than it looks in the pics. We were very pleasently surprised by how roomy the living room/dining room/kitchen are. The deck is great and is perfect for sipping coffee as the sun rises. The bedrooms are a decent size and the bathroom in the master bedroom is nice. (We got spoiled by the shower. If you like lots of water pressure, you'll love it.) Everything we needed was provided including all kitchen utensils/appliances, washer/dryer, plenty of towels, etc. We had lots of family in town for the wedding and quite a few of them stopped by the house during the week and commented on how nice it was. We're definitely planning on coming back next year and now we have several other family members lined up to come with us! Great house, great location, great weather. See you next year!

The location was great and the house was good,there were twelve of us including three children and everyone had a wonderful time...FYI if you go during Sea Turtle season be sure to close the blinds in the sun room, we were sited for having the deck light on when it wasn't and only when we came back from the beach one evening did we see how bright the lights were coming from inside the house so whoever was patroling the beach thought the deck lights were on. Also don't think the sofa sleepers will be fine for extra people, even the kids couldn't sleep on them, we bought three air beds and let the kids sleep on the sofas without the bed being out.The location is wonderful, only 15 minutes from almost anything you might want to do or see and all enjoyed the beach,water,& waves. Would absolutely stay there again!

We were so glad that we stayed at Vilano Beach. The location is terrific...just 5 minutes from downtown but not at a crowded beach. The house was right on the beach next to the public walkway to the beach. It was clean and safe, well furnished, and had the essentials for a great stay. Our host, William, was accomodating. We were there for 2 weeks and would do it again in a minute.

We couldn't have been happier with this home. We spent Labor Day week there on a family getaway. Our college aged sons could surf and skimboard right there. Great for family gatherings. You can see St Aug lighhouse from the beach. Watch the sun come up on the front porch. Owner is very accomodating. We will be back!

When we first arrived at the house we were pleasantly surprised because it was larger than it appeared on the internet. The place was emaculate,so warm and inviting. Completely furnished with anything you would need. Games for the kids and more. Lots of room for all and just steps from the beach. The home owner was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend to anyone for a wonderful place to stay and enjoy all the sites, food, and fun that Florida has to offer. We will definitely come back.

Perfect Beach Rental!

My family and I could not have hoped for better accomodations, beach accessibility, or business transaction than we experenced with this rental. The home was clean and well appointed. When I found a need for somethng, I would look in the logical place and there it would be. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. The deck puts you eye-level with the horizon which affords a perfect place to watch the breathtaking sunrises! Early morning and evening beach walks were the norm for me and I always felt safe on beautiful Vilano Beach. William was a dream rental agent/owner who knew his property and was extremely responsive to our needs. he was so kind as to offer recommendations with regard to local restaurants and activities of interest. My family has every intention of returning to this incredible place as often as possible.

Vilano Beach house was a great place to stay for our vacation in St. Augustine. It was right on the beach and only a few minutes from historic St. Augustine. House was quite comfortable for our large group ranging in ages from 65 to 1. We had a great vacation.

We had a wonderful time at this vacation home. The owner was always ready to help with any questions I had about the area, restaurants, activities, etc. Great place for our group of 9 and even enough room for 11. The separate front "den" was a great place for some to watch their own shows on the T.V. out there while others watched T.V. in the den. Eating space was excellent!!!! The only part of the kitchen which was a negative was casserole dishes not being available but we made do. Great location with such easy access to the beach. WONDERFUL VACATION AND HOPE TO GO BACK!!!!

We had a great time and appreciated having lots of space for our guests to enjoy their stay. The space is updated, though the pictures didn't do it any justice. The only negative was bugs outside at night that got inside if you weren't careful. But in Florida, that's not an uncommon problem. I'd definitely stay there again.

The beach house on Vilano Beach was comfortable, roomy and on the beach. It's location was convenient to activities in St Augustine. I enjoyed my stay at this rental and would be interested in renting it again.

Great place for a family Reunion

our large family rented two homes for our annual 4th of July Reunion. Our Vilano Beach House was closest to the ocean so we mostly gthered there. Wonderful great room with an open kitchen and dining area. Perfect for a crowd. Thanks for a wonderful spot. Vilano is beautiful; watched fireworks from the old bridge. Last night celebration at Cap's --Yum.

We came there with a few friends and family for our wedding and the location is the best.The house is spectacular,couldnt have picked a better place.The owner and father were so nice and very helpful.Very nice people. We had the best time and are definitely going back every year.we loved the house and the location. gets a major A+++++ in our book. This place is going to be the place for us to spend our anniversary every year. its a 10 star location and house.

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon and we loved it. Just enough privacy so you can enjoy each others company without interference. Street is very quiet and clean. Restuarants are great and very short 2 minute drive into St Augustine. I like Vilano Beach because it is peaceful and not over crowded. Definatly plan on staying again!!

From the moment I arrived I felt at home in this lovely beach home. The house is gracioulsy appointed but it is the proximity to the ocean that makes it unique. I have loved my am walks with my labradoodle on the beach, and have been awed on a daily basis by the sunrises. Golfcoures nearby are another plus. This house is built for entertainng. Have enjoyed having new friends for dinner. IN closing I think the best thing I can say is I found it so charming I have signed up for another 4 months next year. Four adults visited for a four day weekend of football and relaxation. this was our first stay at this location and plan to return next year for our annual visit. it is located off the beaten path with an exceptional view of the Atlantic. The roar of the surf and the ocean winds were very theraputic and relaxing from the house or the deck. The beach it self was a very short walk over the dunes via a board walk just off the property line. The house was very roomy, cmfortable and well supplied with with everything from towels to kitchen utinsils. It provided a perfect setting for a social gathering and stretching out. The huge dining table was a big plus for everyone eating comfortably, playing table games and planning the weekends activities. The location has a remote beach feel yet we were within a short drive to the heart of St. Augustine's restaurants, sightseeing, shopping and tourist venues. We highly recommend this location, Book it, you won't be disappointed!

We crunched our 6 grandkids and various adult children into this comfortable house with an ocean view. The beach is very accessible and kid-friendly. It's a great location for a family and bonding time with grandkids.
