Description of the St George Island vacation home rental

This gorgeous home sits on 16 acres with 1/4 mile of white sandy beach. Property is located between Apalachicola and Carrabelle in a gated, very private 70-80 acre subdivision (only 7 homes) on a peninsula that juts out into the Gulf. We are on St. George Sound and look out at St. George Island, Dog Island, and the pass between.
Property is handicapped accessible with large elevator. Handicapped accessible even to pool and tiki hut. Large Swimming pool and walk in area for small children. Pool and tiki hut are right on the beach.
3 main area of the house. A very large master bedroom suite above the main area dining and living area. Large sitting area, alot of glass, fireplace, huge bathroom with large whirlpool tub.
Family wing is all marble with 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, game room. Detached mother-in-law suite with two queen bedrooms, each with private balcony. Jack and Jill bath with whirlpool type tub.
(No hot tub, but 2 whirlpool type tubs)

Area Information

We are surrounded by nature at its finest. Lots of wildlife (bald eagles, osprey, deer, otters, many types of birds, dolphins, etc) to enjoy.

Amazing Home, Astonishing Views

Of all the vacation homes we have rented, this was by far the greatest. The master bedroom alone (the entire 3rd floor) is worth the price with 270 degree views of the water and sunrises and sunsets! There is a sitting room and wrap-around porch plus a screened in smaller porch. The reading/sewing room upstairs from the master is the epitome in private space for having a glass of wine and completely relaxing. The fishing right in front of the house is fantastic for red fish, trout and even permit. You will not be disappointed. The amenities in the home are too numerous to list and the decor is superb. Especially all the collectable oyster plates! They are everywhere and splendid in variety. All the furniture in the home is comfortable and selected for making you welcome and relaxed. On top of all that, there is the abundant wild life. I was thrilled to have an eagle watch me pack the car, calm as he could be. And within 100 feet of me! With any luck at all, we will have another chance to visit this extraordinary home. Thank you, Jeanne. We were delighted. Lee and Kathy
