Wonderful stay at Respite

Respite had everything we needed. House was beautiful and roomy. Short walk to beach. Had never been to St. George Island before, but found it very relaxing. Took 3 teenagers with us and didn't have to worry about them wanting to ride go carts and go shopping, etc , because there is little of that to do. They actually had to spend time with us. It was great. They surprisingly enjoyed it too, and asked to go back next year. Beaches were great and uncrowded. Somedays had it to ourselves. Lots of shells to pick up. Will definitely go back next year.

Fantastic house, was just what we needed with the combination of kid and adult rooms. The house was very clean, felt new, and had lots of little things provided (condiments, dishes, peripheral kitchen stuff, etc.). The owners met us there and went over some of the highlights and were very pleasant to deal with. The only reason this is not a 5 out of 5 is because it's not on the beach, but the privacy afforded by this lot was appreciated. Nice pool too!

With Respite you don't just get a home you get an experience. We stayed for a week with our 5 children and had an unbelievable time. The home is immaculate, every part of this home is top quality. This home is very secluded but only a short stroll from the beach. The beach is beautiful!! We were guests during srping break and there were so few people on the beach we felt like we had it all to ourselves. The screened in porch just off the living room was a nice suprise. We had breakfat out there every morning and enjoyed listening to the waves crashing and the birds chirping. This wonderful home is located on the gated community of the Plantation. The grounds of the Plantation are amazing. it's like driving through your own little tropical paradise. There was plenty of things to do to occupy our children for the entire 7 night stay. They didn't want to go home and are still begging to go back to Respite. Our kids are aged 7, 8, 12, 14, and 17 and they were NEVER bored.A stay at Respite is a guaranteed great vacation. Thanks Diana and Robert you guys are great!

Repute is the most relaxing place we have ever stayed. The house is located on a large lot with no visible neighbors. The only noise we heard was the crashing waves by day and owls at night. We will be back next year.

The time we had at Respite was great. It is secluded, which is very nice, but still walking distance to the beach. The home is fantastic, plenty of room, and the kitchen was awsome. everything was there, you needed and more!!! This is my forth time renting Respite. We love the spaciousness, beautifully furnished home. The rooms are great with their own bathrooms. (more than we have at home)so it is a treat for us :-) The pool is refreshing after hours at the beach. Can't wait for next years trip!

The photos of this house do not do it justice! The house is very spacious, extra clean and comfortable. Everything you could need in a kitchen is there. We had no problems at all while we stayed at the house. It is a perfect place for a relaxing vacation. The surrounding woods really take you back to old Florida while the beach is very close by. Diana and Robert are the perfect hosts!

Although we did not get to stay at this home on St George Island, the property owners were very helpful. They contacted us prior to our arrival time to let us know that the bridge was closed due to the storm. They contacted us several times after that to keep us updated as to what was going on with the weather. We didn't get to stay at Respite but we will certainly schedule another getaway and hopefully there will be no tropical storms.

We had a wonderful time! It's the perfect escape for rest and relaxation. The house is gorgeous and spacious. We were very comfortable! The only disappointment was that my husband was hoping to ride his motorcycle and we found out that motorcycles are not allowed unless they are registered to the homeowner and have permission from the Homeowner's Association. Very disappointing!

Perfect Getaway

Not only was this the perfect getaway, but when you are looking to getaway THIS IS THE PLACE YOU WANT TO STAY AT! The house, the grounds, and location are the best. With your own private pool to dip in and the seclusion you feel with only be steps away from the beach, there is nothing more I could as for. The Vosslers were the perfect hosts and I wouldn't want to rent a beach house from anyone else. I will for sure be back with my whole FAMILY! Love it!
