Description of the St. John's vacation cottage rental

Elm Cottage a beautiful summer cottage located in a very private setting and overlooking the pond in Brigus Junction. Fishing, swimming, hiking, and canoeing are all possible at the Cottage. Shopping and Golf are located within a short drive.

Elm Cottage is a 3 bedroom 1 bath cottage with an open concept living and kitchen area. Amentities include a fully equipped kitchen, wood burning stove in the living room, washer, dryer, telephone, satellite TV, exterior fire pit, exterior wading pool, and large deck with a BBQ. A canoe is available for relaxing paddles on the pond located just at the rear of the cottage.

A local confectionary is available within a 10 minute walking distance of the cottage for those last minute items.

Located on the Avalon Peninsula and a short 30 minute drive west of St. John's on the Trans Canada Highway Elm Cottage offers a wonderful vacation experience. This private, secluded, and treed area is home to many cottages and summer residences. Shopping is available in nearby Bay Roberts, Conception Bay - just a 15 minute drive from the cottage.

Conception Bay is home to the Baccalieu Trail a 230 km trail winding through historic towns and outports. Visit
Hawthorne Cottage, a national historic site in Brigus, a town retaining much of its 19yh century character. Visit Heart's Content and visit the Old Cable Station, a main relay point for tranatlantic telegraph messages.

On the Cape Shore visit the Salmonier Nature Park, home to many native mamals and birds that live in sensitive enclosure designed to be as natural as possoble.

On the Admiral's Coast visit the Royal Newfoundland Yacht Club in Long Pond and a day use Park at Topsail Beach where you can swim in the North Atlantic Ocean.

Golfers will enjoy: The Wilds at Salmonier River, an 18 hole championship Golf Course; The Willows at Holyrood, a 9 hole course; or The Hills Driving Range, a practice facility for new and experienced golfers.
